Anyways, The service was due on August second week. I don't feel like going to SVC as I changed the oil to Shell Advanced 20w40 Mineral and obviously the oil filter too and it doesn't need to be serviced coz my bike runs so less that it sweeped only 6K kms. in 1.5 years including around 2000 kms. of touring So, as it is running nicely, I don't want to go to the SVC for servicing and ruining the bike's feel again
Why worry about it yar? i am a hands-on guy when it comes to bikes and other such things we guys are interested in just leave it as it is.

No,they will charge extra labor for the cone set work.

During My 2nd servicing, I had mentioned this issue. But all they had done was increased My idle RPM, that too at 2k rpm!!
        ODO reading is 2500km.
Also noticed one more thing, whenever I brake using rear one, there is some of this screaching type of noise and sometimes when I brake, I get a "khat-khat" noise. Any specific reason why this might be?
If msomeone could?? As I'm still facing the issue.

They are not straightly interlinked like the rest of the links in the drive chain. What is happening here and what to do? Is there a need i replace the chain drive and sprockets?
Chain slack is correct and no extra noise while riding. Odo closing on to 9000km.

Know this is unclear without a picture, but guys, kindly try to advice.
Here's what i tried to tell Is there any thing wrong?

I've been closely watching this thread for quite some time since I was making up my mind regarding my second bike.

Finally took delivery of RTR 180 ABS last Saturday , thanks to all my fellow RTR owners contributing in this thread.

I'm just loving the response, sound(lots of heads are turning my way ), sharp breaking and handling.
Congratulations and welcome to the tribe bro

                    • Tried inquiring about this at Aditi TVS and there reply,as usual, was this," Kya bhaiya,Apachiiiiiii toh vibrate karti hi hai"

Please, feel free to advice anything xbhpians. I would like to hear from each one of you. Everyday, I ride with my hands glued to the handlebar. It's no more a handlebar now, it's my life now..[/QUOTE]

                      HEHEHE,
my mech had a even wittier comment.. he said bhai ghoda chaap company hai.. ye sab to hoga hi!

anyways i too had a problem of handle shaking. it turned out to be air leakage from sidewalls. hope you find a solution soon enough since rains are almost over and so trips can start.

                      • got my Ride!!

Got my Apache 180 ABS today!

                        OTR Price: 90K

                        Background:
As you all will be aware, I wanted to get this bike in June. For the want of a good month/date combo (parents wish), I waited till August end to lay my hands on A180. Initially planned to get on 1st Sep. So, went to Lotus TVS(Erode) and booked on 24th Aug. But they couldn't deliver on that date and till 6th Sep, they were clueless about when the bike will arrive. I was sick of waiting since June (read almost 75% of this ownership thread) I got desperate and even pondered on the thought of getting the non-abs version.

On 6th Sep about 1PM a call came announcing the arrival of my White Angel! Immediately went there and-- ! there were 5-6 mechanics apparently checking out her-I was like-take her at once to home.. finally got her home yesterday at 10AM.

                        At Delivery:
opted not to get any accessory- got only the ladies handle + indicator buzzer. Got them to install the full mudguard as it's rainy season time. They gave a BARDAHL "Special Injector Klene' 20ml liquid and asked to mix it when I fill petrol. I am not sure about this thing so I didn't use it. no freebies here..

I thought the Delays were over but- the pooja for bike was to be on 8th(today) so I was prohibited to ride yesterday! Imagine seeing A180 on parking space for the whole day and not riding!

Today till now, I have just ridden 15Km.. Will update with pics soon (after riding)!

I think though I got Apache today, I was in tribe Apache since I finalized A180-ABS in june!

Thanks for all fellow apachians- esp.chicane, drifty, ajmal and all others for helping me choose this ride!

Will update as I go on..

Laal tel??!!! I hope it's not the infamous "lall ghoda " engine oil used in diesel engines that too tractors! I've used this once when the engine was drinking oil due to a worn out oil seal. Tell him that,if you put that thing then the "Racing DNA" wala ghoda will become a tange ka ghoda!! jokes apart. I guess the TVS oil also comes in red color which is famous with recycled oils.

Dude, that shouldn't be happening even on a new bike which is yet to complete the run-in.So ask them to check the clutch plates, because hitting such speeds shouldn't need the bike to be revved in the first 2 gears like that.

From the look of it,it looks like the two links are jammed. So ask the mech to take the chain off and check it and set it right.Otherwise it will make noises and wear out the sprockets quickly.
