  • @harish-all oils contain detergent. without detergent the oil will not turn black and also the engine will be full of sludge. the most detergent is in shell oils and i use shell ax7 10 w 40. when i opened my engine the parts were squeaky clean and didn't required manual cleaning by kerosene. my this clutch plate has lasted for 40k and still bites like new. before the advent of 4t oil almost all manufacturers recomended crb+. but only use it in summer. while in summer most oil decreases because of gassing, but crb+ will never decrease. do not use in any other season.
@ALL- TOMMOROW IS MY JOY'S BIRTHDAY. I HAVE WASHED MY BIKE THOROUGHLY WITH CAR SHAMPOO AND TOMMOROW MORNING I WILL WAX IT. THEN I WILL TAKE IT TO TEMPLE TO DO PUJA. I AM VERY HAPPY.

Diesel engine oils contain more detergents than others, the extra detergents are not harmful to motorcycle wet clutch or any other parts . API-CF4 is a diesel-oil rating , but Castrol CRB was earlier rated for both petrol and diesel engines , so you can use it safely. No problem .
But there is no cost advantage to it , a liter pack of CRB+ is not cheaper than a bottle of good JASO MA rated 4T motorcycle oil like Motul/Gulf/Servo 20w40 mineral etc , No ? Or you are trying to utilise some leftover oil you have lying around ?

I've changed because firstly my ignition coil was faulty....it was stuck on rainy seasons & also whenever i wash it. I spent months to months to found the root of this problem, no mechanic was able to detect it...but after so much harassments I doubt my ignition coil....and i was correct when i open that i found broken seal part on the top of that....then & only i changed the coil & my problem was gone forever, and now i can freely drive on rain and wash anytime i want. It haven't stuck till now.

So my first coil was providing a red spark (i got when i compare to my friends cd dawn it was blue) when i replace my coil the spark turns to blue as it should be. And now it happing again but this time i'm not gonna change coz i know it wont get faulty in very short time.

My stator have 3 poles (same like splendor of shoeb2015) produce 5 amps max. Does that 8 pole stator produce more?? If it has the same fitting like mine i'll look over that.

That 8-pole stator is more powerful and can charge 4ah battery easily(using a 7ah is also possible),headlights run on full brightness even at low RPM.
8-pole stator was used to provide enough current for DC ignition system to fire even when the battery is low.

Super Splendor also comes with 8 pole stator.

It does not have same fitting, you will need to change LH crankcase, magnet cover, sprocket cover, magneto, stator, cdi and RR.

          @Sibun

Any photos of joy after puja ?(From all the angles please)
Happy Bithday Joy and many many happy miles.

What about the owner's manual ? Can you post it today ?

          • Best tyres for my splendor

My splendor, run 16k on the stock tyres from 2001,I think. Now thinking of upgrading tyres.Which are the best tyres available for splendor to enhance handling? Is motocross tyres recommended?Wet grip is important.
Is it worth to change to alloys and put tubeless?

I asked one mechanic today about fitting passion pro stator to this...he said yes u can...no need to chance the magnet even
Can i see a photo of 8 pole stator? pls
              If anyone have uploaded.

How many volts do u getting after rewinding?

Edit: Whats the gauge of original stator coil? I checked the mm of stator coil its 1.23mm which is coming about 17G according to this chart

Then i don't know why people recommend 19G wire? If i were u, i would have tried rewind it with 15G wire with same number of rotations to get more amps.

Do not inflate the tire to 52 Psi ..it is very high pressure and will cause your tube and tire to even explode...check the bike's user manual for correct tire pressure...if in doubt fill tire within 25~27 front and 29~35 rear...these are the normal recommended pressures.

underlined 52 P means ply (no. of layer of fiber) not pressure correct pressure < 36 ps will do

You measured the mm of stator coil wire and it showed 1.23 WITH INSULATION ..to correctly check any insulated copper wire, you must carefully scrape off the insulation to bare copper and then check the wire thickness.

I know user manual says 28 psi for back for 2.75-18 type tyre, that is too low for bike to run efficiently. 35 is a common psi for 3.00-18 type tyre, but bike loose its pickup as tyre would have more contact with the ground. If u try 40 psi the bike will run fast. And there is no harm to the tyre or tube. This tyre getting me better performance and grip even on that pressure. I'll try on low psi.

I have a Karizma with 100/90 18 tire at rear and the recommended tire pressure is 30 Psi...Never exceed the recommended tire pressure for safety reasons...
For checking the correct wire thickness ,you need to remove insulation of wire for only 3~5 mm, and check with Vernier caliper...this will not need replacement of stator.
