Shoeb bhai I think dipping the filter in a mug filled with gear oil is the proper way by which we can ensure that there is no dry spots...and squeeze out the excess

Its a heavy duty tyre with outstanding grip even in water when compared to others..
having really really high performance got at Rs.1800, driving on 52 pressure
Highly recommended to everyone....never use zapper it sucks!

Edit: You can drive this tyre in worst to worst roads no matter how many steroids asteroids are there, you not even feel it. Real zapper is this ....my pickup mileage has increased coz rotation increased.
Thanks. Can this be fitted to existing rim?Do I need to change the tube as well?

I haven't seen but there there is an instrument available which help to keep the wire tight without damaging it.....i've read in some website but dont know what its called.

Today i bought this gauge for valve clearance got for Rs 45...and when i just asked for magnet puller to know its price he told Rs.135 tools price have increased very rapidly in recent years i think

I dont think u need to plunge....just drop some of it all over and press hard with your hand....if u fell it needs more then put over again....if some part may left dry then whats wrong in it

            You have the splendor right?
Then yes it can be fitted....i guess u have 2.75-18 type tyre in your back...u can see that in your tyre.
Mine is 3.00-18 (u can see in one of that pic)...this is the good one...if u go for 3.25-18 it will get more thick hence loose of pickup. 3.00-18 is the best choice.

You will get the tube included. Don't use the old tube. and i don't recommended for tubeless in splendor. Tubeless puncture cost about 150 i think....also i dont think this tyre will puncture, it will kick off the nails.

            • Will 3.00-18 reduce performance and mileage compared to 2.75(stock) one?

No not at all....i've experienced, my mileage has increased coz this tyre have more diameter hence pickup & mileage both will increase...
Don't doubt believe me this tyre will absolutely rock your performance

2.75/18 and 3.00 /18 are the size of tires ..the first number ie., 2.75 or 3.00 is the Width of tire in inches , and the second number 18 is the dia suitable to the tire. So as long as the second number 18 remains the same the diameter of tire remains same. The dia of tire cannot be changed without changing the Rim to appropriate size.
As the width of tire increases it's foot print ie., it's contact on ground also increases thereby increasing grip, and marginally lesser FE.

Actually it does - by about 5 KMPL. Due to more rolling resistance. And even though the inner dia of the tyre remains 18", the outer dia will be more due to the increased sidewall height, so the bike will sit marginally higher. Hence it is not a good idea to use this size in the front, to avoid speedo errors.

But road grip, handling will be better. Bumps will be evened out better.

BTW this is the maximum size one can go safely in the Splendor. I think 3.25 X 18 will be a bad idea.

8-pole stator was used to provide enough current for DC ignition system to fire even when the battery is low.

Super Splendor also comes with 8 pole stator.

It does not have same fitting, you will need to change LH crankcase, magnet cover, sprocket cover, magneto, stator, cdi and RR.

The ceat gripp has good grip but sidewalls are too soft and once the tire punctures then you cannot move it as it will become completely flat. I use dunlop challenger grip of size 3.00-18 at rear and has excellent grip and also the sidewall is quite strong.even if the tire gets punctured then the tire doesn't squat flat. i will post a photo of the tire.
And regarding grip, once i had braked hard at 60 kph to save a cat and the tire didn't skid and bite so furiously that smoke came out of the tires as per the sayings of the car at my back. I off-road a lot with my joy. my work place combined with rain ,make the place suitable for off-road as seen in team bhp and i fear to take my extreme there. But in my joy, the tires combined with steel mud guard and the low end torque just pulls like a tractor. If i find some time then i will post a video of my bike off-roading.You will see that as i return from work in rainy season, my bike will be looking like tractor coming out of fields in rainy season.
Please don't keep 52 psi at rear or tire will have very less grip. Use 36 psi or at the most 40 psi. I fill 41 psi in my rear as i use the highway a lot and thus it helps in protection from puncture.

Psr sir, the 3.00 denotes the width of tire and also the aspect of tire.
                      For example -
In 100/90 the 100 denotes the width in mm and 90 denotes 90% of 100 mm which is the sidewall of tire. 100/25.4=3.94 and 90 mm= 3.54
in the inch system i.e 3.00-18, the width of tyre is 3 inches and also the sidewall is 3 inches. So basically the diameter increases because the sidewall height increases. So the rolling radius also increases.
When i changed my joy's tire from default 2.75 to 3.00 my mechanic told that my mileage will decrease, which is logical but instead my mileage increased and top speed also increased. But acceleration slightly decreased. Joy has a smaller rear sprocket by default and thus has more top-speed than splendor. So with increase in tire rolling radius the mileage increased and top speed by 10 kph.
My dads splendor+(new) has 2.75 by default and it looks quite small from my joys rear tyre. Also splendor+ and passion both share the same rim i.e 1.6*18 but splendor has 2.75-18 tire and passion has 3.00-18 tire. After the first time i changed the default tire(2.75-18) at 30k and till 3.1 lacs km i have always changed to 3.00-18(5 tires at rear). Presently i am running on 3.00-18 dunlop challenger grip at rear.
Please psr sir don't take it as i am preaching you, as i know you have far more knowledge than me but i thought i need to intervene to let my thoughts.

I've changed because firstly my ignition coil was faulty....it was stuck on rainy seasons & also whenever i wash it. I spent months to months to found the root of this problem, no mechanic was able to detect it...but after so much harassments I doubt my ignition coil....and i was correct when i open that i found broken seal part on the top of that....then & only i changed the coil & my problem was gone forever, and now i can freely drive on rain and wash anytime i want. It haven't stuck till now.

So my first coil was providing a red spark (i got when i compare to my friends cd dawn it was blue) when i replace my coil the spark turns to blue as it should be. And now it happing again but this time i'm not gonna change coz i know it wont get faulty in very short time.
i am not saying to change your ignition coil but the yellow coil in your magnet. Hero honda bikes rely heavily on that coil and thus require change in that coil. Pulsar coil in hero honda do not require change but cdi charging coil gets damaged easily.

No mine is also same like all others. Its H4 type runs on AC via regulator
Yours is HS1 and H4 doesn't come in 35/35 watt. the minimum for H4 is 60/55 watt and HS1 has 35/35. If your bulb is H4 then you will be using 60/55 watt and thus low light. Change to 35/35 watt. The difference is that the center pin of HS1 is thicker than H4, else all fitment is same. So you can use H4 in HS1 holder but not HS1 in H4 socket.

My stator have 3 poles (same like splendor of shoeb2015) produce 5 amps max. Does that 8 pole stator produce more?? If it has the same fitting like mine i'll look over that.

                        If anyone have uploaded.

How many volts do u getting after rewinding?

Edit: Whats the gauge of original stator coil? I checked the mm of stator coil its 1.23mm which is coming about 17G according to this chart

Then i don't know why people recommend 19G wire? If i were u, i would have tried rewind it with 15G wire with same number of rotations to get more amps.
No, the new model can never be fitted and almost impossible. If you try then it is better to sell this and go for new model.

This is the new model magnet as in CD-dawn(new model),CD deluxe, passion pro, super splendor, splendor pro.
If you ever come in direct view with their high beam then please post your experience. My brothers CD deluxe has this model coil and the headlight is like halogen if you compare to my joy as a candle light.

This is the old model which is posted in this thread.
It is impossible to change to new model because-
                        1. New model coil has 8 poles so require powerful magnet so magnet change is necessary and the new model has outward facing magnet.
                        2. Since the magnet is opposite and the coil has different mounting so you will require use the outer cover of the new model.
                        3. Since magnet is changed and the pulsar coil position is changed so the timing will change. So you have to change to new camshaft.
                        4. Since the new model camshaft operates the rocker arm which is roller bearing loaded, so its profile is different and thus the rocker arm has to be changed to new model. So to accommodate the rocker arm head has to be changed. Also the new head has different face(head packing is different) so the bore and piston has to be changed to new model
                        5. there is no cdi charging coil in new models as their cdi are DC so you have to change to their CDI which cost Rs.1600 while AC cdi in our cost Rs.800. Also you have to change the wiring kit as the couplers are different.
                        6. Since side cover is changed you have to change the left crank case cover as the mountings are different. For this you have to open complete engine.
                        7. The new model CDI has multi mapping and thus has TPS and thus their carburettors are different. There carburettors are like super splendor/glamor and thus carburettor needs to be changed. Also air-filter needs to be changed to paper type and the air box and filter holder to new type.
                        Total cost-
                        stator assembly(new model)- Rs. 1800
                        magnet cover- Rs.1000
                        sprocket cover- Rs.500
left side crank case- Rs. 3500
new head and bore kit- Rs. 4000
New camshaft and rocker- Rs. 1000
                        wiring kit- Rs.900
complete engine opening- Rs. 1600 for different parts without overhauling.
                        new carburettor- Rs.2200
                        new CDI- Rs. 1600
new air filter, holder and box- Rs. 900.
So total cost comes to Rs. 19000.
You can sell your CD dawn for Rs. 18k and go for new Cd deluxe for Rs. 44k on-road with alloy wheel and self start.
The new models have maximum torque at 4500 rpm and maximum power at 7500 rpm while the old model have maximum torque at 5000 rpm and maximum power at 8000 rpm.
@shoeb- You can see that the coil have very less winding. So in new model CD deluxe, pro e.t.c if we do rewinding and convert to full DC the 100 cc bikes will blind most car headlights.Sadly we cannot do anything in old model coils.
And don't think that hero honda doesn't change their bikes. The new models are vastly different than their old models as you can see in my post. Hero honda are known for their weak headlights but the new model CD_deluxe, CD dawn, passion pro, splendor pro, super splendor/glamor, cbz/hunk/pleasure have very powerful headlight. When i take my joy in night none of the cars dip their headlights on repeatedly flashing but in my sisters pleasure or when on my cbz extreme once you flash the light cars hurriedly dip their lights. Also the new bikes from hero have very sharp and focused reflector.

Thanks actually this was the second but for me its first I have change in this bike....firstly my bro has changed to dunlop 2.75-18 few years back, but i dont like that coz it skit so much in dry road that it was become so difficult to drive on the rain, so i've fall down so many times due to this....so, i already had a very bad experience (i'm sorry i hope that shouldn't be happen with u ever) that frustrated me to shift to other manufacturer. And i heard a lot about this tyre about its performance and grip also one of my own tyre mechanic & seller both told me to buy this....and really i'm shocked though its performance and grip....i dont know what will happen after puncture, lets see

Actually it was 45, i've checked today & reduced to 37.

Joy has a smaller rear sprocket by default and thus has more top-speed than splendor. So with increase in tire rolling radius the mileage increased and top speed by 10 kph.
Thats true, my mileage too have increased, but i haven't seen any reduction in my pickup, in fact it has increased. i haven't checked my top speed.

On my god, thanks for the great info, actually a mechanic told me but i'm not looking forward to change

Our CDI unit has a too much cost i need to change coz i'm getting a little bit red spark on spark plug (also tested on different spark plugs)

Can anyone tell me which coil is use here to power CDI? I guess that yellow covered coil is used!
and what is that back part used for? just little bit side above the gear rod? I've seen it has two wires one grounded and other goes to CDI
