I haven't opened the head, i want to do myself
so if u just tell me what other replacements may be required, coz i want to have every replaceable part with me before opening the head.
    Does polishing is also required?
I doubt if oil is coming to the combustion camber then it may have created a layer of carbon in the valve set.
Post some pictures of spark-plug and exhaust tip.
Did you notice any kind of smoke from exhaust when the bike is just started after a gap of 10-12 hours ?

    • Guys I'm having a few problems with my ten year old splendor.

      1. Over the past few weeks, there is a noise when I'm riding the bike.this noise sounds only when I'm starting from a stationary position (mostly). I think there might be some problem with the chain.

      2. Great shifting is pathetic. Even when clutch is depressed fully, great doesn't shift smoothly.feels and sounds like great is changed without using the clutch.

      3. I would also like to know about the clear head light casing and a powerful bulb. I read some posts and it was mentioned that the clear head light case of splendor+ is a perfect fit for splendor.also is there any halogen bulb that can be fitted without any modifications to improve light quality?

Any help in this regard would be much appreciated.thanks in advance

Yesterday i changed the spark plug champion PRZ7HC and adjusted the AFR. Correct ratio got at 1.25 turn when fully closed.

This is the earlier spark plug Champion Hi Power K7HP. Adjusted the AFR many times but cannot get the spark plug white

Exhaust tip, u can see the black layer around

Its wet, which clearly indicates the bike is smoking.

        Another pic

Diagonal road has these shops that sell parts and stuff. The diagonal road behind the Gajraj Mansion also has quite a lot of shops selling parts n stuff. The area behind the Union Motors also has shops that stock parts for cars and bikes. Good luck finding your carb cleaner!
For tools, you can check the one opposite the Kwality Swirls shop, between Chhaganlal and Nandji-Govindji hardware. Can't remember the name now. Also there is a small tool shop in the opposite line of Sagar Sweets - that guy has quite a good range of quality tools for motorcycles.

Put bike securely in main-stand in a flat place . Remove the bottom part (only) of your Splendor's chain cover by undoing the two #10 flanged nuts that keeps it . The required small #10 spanner is in your bike's toolbox . Place some sheets of newspaper strategically under the chain area .
Ok , now take a toothbrush and a bowl of kerosene and clean the chain and sprocket and adjoining areas by brushing it briskly with the brush wet-ed in kerosene generously, and gently rotating the rear wheel to move to a new portion of the chain. Repeat as many times it takes to clean throughly. Wipe it off with a clean rag and let the chain dry, preferably overnight if possible. Brush the chain with SAE90 gear oil generously , applying it with the same toothbrush . Adjust chain to correct slack , which is about 1.5 inch of vertical travel at it's center (loosest point) . If necessary take help of a mechanic to adjust the chain slack and adjust the clutch free-play . Close the chain cover .
While this will do for a while , replace chain-sprocket set if you find it to be worn, soon .
Yes , clear lensed MF headlamp of Splendor+ is a direct fit for all Splendor models other than the Splendor NXG . To fit Halogen bulb (Halonix 35watt) , only requirement is HS1 type holder .. which I think is already there in your Splendor .

                  • @Pinaki sir.
Credits to god for your safety and well being.

Had a kinda similar incident today when coming out of the petrol bunk, was ready to cross the road(since the bunk was on the opp side to which I was riding.) and a lorry came real fast and was about to enter the bunk, the driver was looking inside the bunk hence completely ignored us and was heading towards us at a quick phase, it was about to hit us from the right, when unknowingly I popped the clutch and revved hard(Its a habit, I always rev harder and maneuver in tight panicky situations, cause most times the brakes on the ZMA dont react as expected.) jumped off the lorry's path and onto the highway, luckily there were no vehicles and we sped off, else we would've been hit from either side by oncomming traffic. Both me and my pillion were just a fraction of a sec away from peeing our pants and hopefully we didnt. So thanked god and headed home.

Actually i was not concerned about oil in the spark plug thread before, i come to know recently when i started spending time on the Internet reading different web sits. So i'm new to this, i haven't calculated.
But when i changed my engine oil (one week ago), the drain oil i got is between 450-500ml (i still have it) some of oil was leaked due to damage oil seals and have replaced before changing new oil. Now no more leaks.
