Google it mate, there seem to be many. I would still advise to go to the shop, no specific reason, just that you get to see whatever's New Arrival, if any

Hi Rugved,
I am facing an issue in TB350. My crash guard is touching the front mudguard on extreme bumps/speedbreakers (i noticed it some 50 days back). I asked one mechanic about the problem, he told me that it may be due to clearances in T-fork. but he was not sure. My TB has diamond shaped crash guard (Pic attached). I think this is happening because of lower top mounting position of crash guard. Please suggest any solution. i am planning to take TB to ASC. TB is 2800 kms ridden & 4 months old.

Hi Rugved,
I am facing an issue in TB350.

Hi there, actually this is the problem with your crash guard, this bike is OK. SEE if the crash guard can be lifted upwards a little bit to get the needed SPACE during bumps.

If not you may have to change the guard to other models.

It was a very basic problem from the lunch of this model thunderbird 350-500. Hope it helps.

Just tested it and the beam is perfect. It works.

Thanks to KnG and Azar

Hahahahaha.... Actually you went extreme to get the solution. Although congratulations, [emoji3] [emoji3], as your PROBLEM is solved.

Here is my take, what I did was, I just flattened the clamp to give the headlight bolt a little forward leverage. I am happy 😊.

Thankyou KnG it really helps,
Today I also went to ASC, they told me the same thing. I asked them to lift guard as much as possible. Now I am happy with the clearance. They also suggested me that in next service, they will bend the lower mounting bracket by heating & lift to provide more clearance. Right now I am not thinking of that.
Keep helping people &

Got a chance to see BS-IV Classic 350 in flesh today @ dealership today. Couldn't find any visible difference on the engine, except that Headlight switch is missing now. And I was shocked to see the headlights always ON. Is AHO means Automatic Headlight On or Always Headlight On ?

Yes, I went a bit overboard but it gives me a larger range now and pretty happy with the mod

Nice work! But I did what KnG did, straightened the clamp and put the bolt..

But, I doubt the position will still change with time in your clamp with the vibrations what the bull generates.

Gentlemen,

I am considering to buy myself a comfortable motorcycle under a budget of Rs. 2 Lakhs. Naturally considering RE. Previously owned Cast Iron Bullets. I am not considering complicated machines (Dominar/CBR) etc due to their technical & specific drawbacks. Eg, their spares are not available easily & self servicing is difficult. Hence simple air cooled RE makes sense to me, also as I am over 6 foot tall, comfort is an important factor.
I always travel solo & drive less. Live in a small city with less traffic (hence less spares support & cant test drive all). I have road access to NH4 aswell as western ghats.

I am new to UCE RE's. Would you all recommend the Thunderbird to me? Are there any specific known issues with TB? I am mainly considering TB because it has box section swing-arm & rear disc brakes which are very important for stability & safety reasons.

Test drove TB500, absolutely love it. But Im scared of open loop EFi. I know that is the most vulnerable part incase of shorts/water entry/dead battery. Hence also considering the 350. Can anyone comment on power differences between 350 & 500? and does the new TB has any niggles? about reliability & durability too.

One Idea I have is, Buy TB350 & install the 18T front sprocket (overgear) hence achieve better cruising speeds. Anybody tried this?

-Thanks!

I own the Thunderbird since a year plus.if you agree to go on with minor niggles and problems the asc causes to the bike then u can get this bike..don't forget the extra care to be taken.I personally think u should try the dominar.got pretty impressed. And felt a lot stable. The niggles i faced are with instrument cluster changed 4 times under warranty and yup the asc screwed my disk assembly.no performance issues till date.recently changed the cone set, fork oil and swingarm bushes.

Sir, I wouldn't discourage you to not buy an Enfield. For cruising at 80-100 kmph enfield is okay but I feel even at that speed it feels dangerous or uneasy to ride that's what I felt. The vibrations are unsettling to say the least. But I love my tbts350 it's comfortable on bad roads and no roads. That's one thing you'll never miss while riding an Enfield, it's easy on your back and rides on pot holes with ease. Since you already owned the cast iron bullets you must have experienced it.

I would recommend you to try dominar 400. I believe it cruises in 3 digit speeds all day. Should be comfortable and is loaded as far safety kit is concerned. I believe abs is a must on all bikes especially if it has disc brakes. I would also recommend you try the duke 390 but it would be hard on your back with its race dynamics. But it's loaded as well. Is your main purpose is to go from point A to B don't think of an Enfield.

Regards.

Apologies for the delayed response.

You cannot escape this issue. TBTS has less clearance between the mudguard and the chassis leaving very little space for the crash guard to fit.

I have seen this happen with many TBTS owners. The only one crash guard that has been reported to present less problem (meaning it hits too, but in case of severe impact like if you bump into someone/something) is Quality Metal Industries' Crash guard for TBTS.

Other TBTS owners with This Crash Guard, please enlighten us. Andrew does the crash guard's upper part touch the mudguard or the lower part?
