I have only one decent pic where the cushioned seat is highlighted.

For the backrest, I saw something at AH helmets Oshiwara, where they had increased the height and looked similar to the OE but the quality wasn't inspiring.

    Okay there is one more..

Thanks Parimal. The cushion really looks good. Is the fitment done over the stock seats oris the foam stuck internally.Has the ride become more smooth now? Did you get it done from Babloo motors vashi?

This is a seat cover with cushion, fitted over the stock seats, the guys sitting outside Babloo motors did it. The extra cushion does help on long rides but actually I like the stock seats as well, very comfy.

Thanks Parimal. The extra seat covers really look decent. Would try them out. This can protect stock seats in monsoon.

This a soft cushioned seat, no need to break into them. I do like the stock seats as well but wanted that little extra comfort for me and the pillion too.

Tank bubble formation may be because of petrol falling on the tank. Or petrol/water getting in around the fuel cap if there is some chip/crack in the paint. After you get replacement, be careful that fuel nozzle goes directly in the tank & comes out only when the last drop has fallen.

Pressing clutch should result in the tyre stopping to rotate when on center stand. I think, maybe, you might have gotten confused. If really clutch is not disengaging your gears, then only your brakes are stopping you from going forward.
i hope you get your tyre problem rectified, it would help other riders as well.

i visited ASC but they are not agreeing of the clutch being wrong, when i put the bike on center stand and engage the first gear and hold press the clutch, then normally tyre should stop rotating ? right, but its not happening, tyre is still moving will almost the same pace at it moves when i release the clutch with 1st gear engaged. i will shoot a mail to RE regarding this, i hope it helps.

and the bubble formation is NOT near the fuel inlet, its at the place where my personal belonging are , i hope you get it.
will post the images tomm. as my bike is not at my home, i part it at my office.

Bro, if your dealer & then the company itself is telling you, why are you fretting? Be patient, the bike will come & then memories of waiting period will be a distant dream.[/QUOTE]

Yes buddy you are right but the wait is making me more impatient......And i doubted that my dealer is making things up for the delay that is why wanted to know if this is true or not.

Anyways i will wait more if i have waited this much......

I assume your bike is still very new if this is the case then wheel will keep rotating eveni f u press the clutch. this thing I have seen in five different bikes three of them owned by me . it is related to clutch and pressure plated. dont worry about this it will come good after few hundered or thousand kms.

This is due to lubrication of chain I guess, you are talking about oil leakage near the starter motor and the area above the chain? If its the area im asking about then its normal.

Do you consider 6000kms as new? My bike has clocked the above odo, cant tell the exact figure as my console was changed recently, it was changed at around 5700kms and the new odo is 100 something.

So do you think I should bug RE about this? Or just wait for it to get normal, btw I have one more tb350 in Flickr shade and clocked with 2600kms almost, and its wheel also rotates but has much lower torque as compared the twilight , in which there is almost no difference of clutch pressed or released.

                              • Re: Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 Owners Experiences

Hello everyone!! I have a silent reader of xbhp for ages. But this is my first post. Need the advice of the gurus regarding booking of a RE machine.. Don't know whether this thread is the correct place to post my query or not.

It was always a dream to own a RE and finally now i have decided to change over from my CBZ Xtreme. I primarily use my bike for commuting daily to my office with a to and fro distance of 60kms total. Along with that I also occasionally go to my parents place which is around 180kms from Kolkata. All these trips are along with my wife as pillion.
I took the TD of both the CL350 and TB350. Since it was the first time I tried to ride a cruiser bike, it took me some time to get used to the handling of the TB350. Personally I did find TB350 smoother than the CL350. Even my wife also liked the looks of it.
But after reading all the posts regarding various problems like malfunctioning of the digital instrument panel and disc brake problems I am wondering whether I should go for the CL350 or not whic does not have any digital components and the rear non-disc brake.
But then almost everyone is saying that the seats of CL350 are not comfortable enough and I definitely do not want a sore butt for both me and my wife.
And buying an Electra has been ruled out by wifey due to the looks. Personally I am also more attracted towards the CL350 or the TB350.
So I would need some advice as I have made up my mind that I will go the RE showroom and make a booking tomorrow.

I do not have any friends in Kolkata who owns a RE and hence I do not even have anyone to personally consult to. Guys who belong from Kolkata please do guide me regarding places from where I should get my accessories and also where I will find good RE mechanics later on. Also please suggest which dealership will be more recommended for the purchase: Austin Motor(Esplanade) or Kolkata Bike Zone(VIP road).
