I am using the iridium spark plug along with split fire cable basically the split fire supports the NGK Iridium11. The results are mind blowing. The Response from the engine is super smooth and as I also have k&n air filter the firing is spot on....Continuous kinda as heard on any high performance bike abroad....

Actually the sound is of the K&N.. these plugs dont make any noticable difference!

Guys,

Was just wondering if Programmable CDI Units are available, i havent found any myself although had someone talking about them in one of the threads.

I found one, which is from a Japanese company and comes for around $400-$500

I really really plan to get one for my CBZ when i come back home next time, will keep my fingers crossed to get something for a lesser price

which of the tyres are being used by you...??

vese i am using zapper q 100/90 for rear
and stock for front...

My friend has a michelin m45 for the rear.Am damn impressed by the grip and gels with the bike's looks too.

Right now I am running on Ceat Vertigos tubeless 120/80 @ d rear & ceat Secura stock size in the front.

I will not advice Ceat Secura in the front simply because it is not suited & cause bumpy ride due to the buttons

Common guys.. btw what mileage you people getting from this bike.. best I have got is 45 & least I have got is 32Kmpl..

Now a days with K&N 120 section tyre @ the back it is giving me 34-35kmpl on an Avg in city & in Highways 37-38Kmpl

& yeah what is the max speed achieved on Speedo ?? I did hit a 130kmph mark once & yeah it was only once now a days can hit a max of 120kmph on speedo

me getting 40-43kmpl. and and ya max i hv achived 125 kmph and that too i contd. to streach for 2 hours during our RSA ride to mahableshwar no halts.....

damn man those were the days.....

and least have got 32kmpl during the same ride....
today i fitted ngk iridium to my bike....!!

brother it costed me around 500rs something as i m not sure
coz hv nt paid him yet. but yes enquired prevously was somewhere
of this range only....
and today gone up on a ride to karnal highway to have a feel
of this plug... and also to accompany the "raid de himalyas" riders till karnal as one of my friend had also gone... ya plug actually helped i feel like little more addition in the throttle....

Ok .. here goes my story:

CBZ World Cup Edition
June 1999
1.75 L kms
Engine Overhauled on 1.7L kms
42-45kmpl! (I shift mostly at 5-6k+ rpms)
Worst mileage - 35 kmpl (during run-in phase)
Top speed achieved 117 kmph (on Greater Noida Expressway)
Low on maintenance.
100% Stock.
Serviced at Hero Honda Showroom regularly.

Problems:
Vibes at 5k rpm.
Weak headlight.

Strengths:
Still gives other bikes a run for their money. Redlining nirvana in its price range.
Indestructible engine. (1.75 L kms!)
It was THE CBZ (unlike CBZ star, extreme etc.)
Still has the original wide mouthed silencer.

Please help:
I plan to install the following:
K&N (Model no.?, price?)
Iridium plug (Model no.? price?)
Alloys (Please suggest)
Any other performance mod (plz suggest)

And yes, I will be going to buy the ZMR.
