Just did second servicing of my bike. The servicing cost was only 400/-. Changed oil even though it was not recommended. Put in Motul semi synthetic.Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

@ All - Have you guys faced any stability issues, when rode the bike in heavy wind blowing on the sides????

Usually it is the rider who takes the wind resistance and makes the bike sway. I noticed that happening on the highway where I would pass a truck coming from the opposite direction and that would unsettle the bike due to the sudden gust of wind.
But I started crouching on the tank and that was gone 90%.!

Bandhav, is buying such a bike worth it (in terms of cost of ownership during the first year or whatever the warranty period is)?Originally posted by BANDHAV View PostYes, he intends to sell it as he has already got himself something bigger & better.
The only reason I ask is that you mentioned that the bike will lose its warranty after the ownership gets transferred to the next owner. I dont know how much the cost of ownership changes in such cases so was just wondering if you could share some insights into this. I am sure it would be helpful to everyone who might be looking at pre owned Ninjas.
Post warranty (1 year? ) would be the same thing for everyone I guess.
Thank you.

Warranty is only against manufacturing defects. For a bike like Ninja, chances of anyone finding any manufacturing defects AND company admitting to it, are very low. So the No warranty exposure minimal.Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

Does being in warranty make any difference to the servicing costs during the first year?2017 KTM Duke 390

It might not make any difference to servicing/maintenance costs during the first year. however, if you are really really unlucky and you have a Ninja which has a manufacturing defect, it would hit you hard. Not that it might happen, but just in case....Originally posted by sammyboy76 View PostThanks trustvishwas, I was hoping for an answer on those lines

You are right, I have tried that yesterday and the bike is stable. Little bit loose Jacket is also adding into it. Too much wind in Bangalore due the rainy season
@ Killer - Any plans to change the oil to Full/Semi Synthetic?????
Planet DSG is providing Motul only in Pune.... Any idea about the availability in Bangalore????

Its still less than 4k on the odo.. but one thing is for sure... I am not fine with the engine oil Khivraj fills in my Ninja from the drum.Originally posted by sreehari_r1 View Post@ Killer - Any plans to change the oil to Full/Semi Synthetic?????

It can be called as ignorance coz I do not know a lot about engine oil. So as of now I am gonna wait and watch what the others do and analyze there opinions about diff. oil types.sigpicI feel like Clark Kent on the streets riding the Pulsar, On the track.. with my Ninja.. I feel like Superman.

Flushed the radiator and changed the coolant today - took more time than expected, and ran out of distilled water so had to go out and buy some. Was surprised at the all the gunk and coolant crystal/solids which came out after running a distilled vinegar/water solution through the coolant system for a few minutes.
Switched to Motul Motocool, lets see if it works any better. At first glance, feels much more fluid than the castrol sludge which came factory fitted.
