a mesh jacket will help your body stay cool in the heat also.. I know its a funny sight, but i have time and again advised people to wear a full sleeves jacket in the summer. It helps trap the body sweat, and effectively keeps the body cool. BOdy odour etc etc, you gotta be careful about!! lol!!!

Even at chennai I wore 1.4 mm thick leather but as long as u know u r gonna be on the move (long rides/track) the leather or textile is gonna stop the sweat from evaporating like protons in a hydron collider and will help cool you down for hours. Almost like the Sand Pot effect.sigpic

In the city, I wear my Helmet, gloves and a pair of Nike trekking boots (along with my jeans and tee and light jacket, unlike Tenhut ). I think that usually suffices for an average speed of 30kmph.
But once on the highway, I wear my entire gear. Last two Sundays I have been savoring the Hyderabad highway and Nandi hills and I had my complete gear on. As long as you keep moving, even full leathers are no discomfort at all. But once you stop... it is a different thing altogether.
But remember that I ride in Bangalore, and the day is half as hot as Delhi!
The bike heats up though rather quickly these days in stop and go traffic. My next coolant change will be Engine Ice, that should be definitely better than the stock coolant or Motul.

hey ppl .... i have a little story to tell u....i got my bike on the 13th n cause of a busy schedule couldnt get the permanent registration done from my native place .....so finally i get some time off n i go to the rto ...this is three days back ...first day i filled up form 20 n attached all the documents ....n submitted them but the cop sez that the approval letter is missing , so i call up the delievery guys n they fax it to me ....so i go there the next day thinking about a special number for a special bike ....i give thye fax to the cop ,he directs me to a senior cop sittin in the office ...he studies everything n says since this is a "imported" bike well need excise papers ....i try to tell him that bajaj does it right here in maharashtra but he doesnt listen, then again i call up the delivery guys n they fax me another piece of paper which states that the bike is assembled or manufactured in poona now i go to him on the third day with my patience running low ...i meet up with him n give the fax ...he looks at it n tells me that ok everything seems to be in order now except for one thing....form 22 is missing.....its a compliance form for pollution standards ....so i go out n find out that the form 22 sticker is attached to the sales reciept which he must have overlooked ....ok so far so good ...he says ok u may go n pay the registration tax which by the way came out to be 19,016 inr...so i go n pay up n wait for another cop to turn up so that i can choose a nice number ...in the meantime some other supposedly seniour cop comes n starts studying my papers .....finally after 15 mins he tells me no sir cant pass ur vehicle cos the codes dont match between two receipts given by the manufacturer.....n furthermore we will need cri certification n ari n wot not .....that was it i said listen ill go all the way to poona n do it ...just return the amount that i just paid ...so they say no sir cant refund it we will transfer the money to poona rto .....i was like wtf man ...some how i convinced them to cancel the amount i had paid n got my money back .....so now i will be gettin the registration done from poona hopefully without any hassles .....the dealer said hell help me out !
i was getting mobbed all the time ....papparazi of a different kind huh ? now i know how superstars must be feeling when they step out ! poor souls .......
ya ,,,n one more thing i just remembered ....i have already paid the octroi in poona inr 5,284.... now i get to hear that i need to pay additional octroi here also inr 5,560 since i am registering it out of poona .....is that how its supposed to be ?Last edited by Aryan; 04-29-2010, 01:50 AM."It's impossible." said pride. @rajpadia - hope you get it done with ease in poona; getting it done via pbk dealer would be easy at least i had to do nothing here for mine (though i got a random number for the bike, but that's ok looking at your ordeal) ...
one scary thing happened to me today morning, one guy almost made me ram into the divider because he wanted to know the on-road price while driving... he couldn't balance his bike while asking the question and almost ran into me, lucky me i had to shout the price, he said 2 lacs (didn't hear me) and i said yes and off he went.
completed 800 ( took 2 weeks) -
some fun seeing the needle go beyond 60 today.

I got that yesterday ! With the amount of bystanders I doubted for a moment if it were Robert Downey Junior shooting for Iron Man 2.
Btw..that movie is gonna kick some serious ass.

On my way back from Gokarna, we had stopped at a place for lunch. The waiters had surrounded the bike and asked the price and all. Then one of them asks if the bike has an AC .... I pointed towards the radiator and told him.. no it just has a fan. He had weird expression on his face... I think he got the idea that the fan was for the rider.Last edited by killer_instinct; 04-29-2010, 11:37 AM.sigpicI feel like Clark Kent on the streets riding the Pulsar, On the track.. with my Ninja..
