85K is still an estimate which i approved. this is before the insurance claim. 80% for metal and 50% for fiber and plastic. I will get some refund or say the claim amount in sum 45days.

What effects on handling after the tyre change?

I'm definitely going for something which offers a bit more grip (even if its a figment of your imagination)

thanks for putting up the pic showing the difference!

btw i cant clearly make out if there's enough rubber to grip the road when one is leaning alot? is it better than the stock tyre in terms of gripping at acute lean angles? pardon my ignorance but did you change the front tyre aswel? if so which one and any handling difference? (a photo here would be appreciated) my ninja has clocked 3000km so i plan on changing it asap! (anything to dispell confidence issues which i have at the moment)

i think it was you whos suggested ninja tyre alternatives, i've noted down the tyre brand and its sizes

Pirelli sport demon 140/70/17 or 130/70/17
                            Bridgestone BT-45 130/70/17

Oh, it has enough grip even while leaning at acute angles. I have seen a Ninja with Pirelli's Sport Demons after a trackday, and even though the rider leaned enough to scrape his exhaust pipe and footpegs, the tyres held up well!

I have not used the BT-45, but the Pirelli's might be better because of the curvature. The BT-45 seemed too flat, and hence appeared wider.
