You can order Xena through eBay or through XENA Security Locks, Alarms & Accessories for Motorcycles, Scooters and ATVs. Check out their website or eBay for prices. Its presently not sold in India.

PS - What is "Who much"?

@Visaster - Sorry for the OT. Congratulations on your Kwacker & looking forward to see it in flesh.

        • help

ive only done 3000km on my ninja 250r and even though the tyres look pretty new, there is no grip whatsoever whenever i brake hard both the tyres skid,so im planning to change them.can someone suggest me the tyres with the most grip.
i also want to know how pirelli speed demons grip, and whether it is advisable to go for a 140/70 rear section.Decrease in efficiency is not a problem but the acceleration should remain the same.thank you

If you jab on the brakes real hard, any tyre will skid. And Ninja's brakes are powerful as they come. Even the Pirellis will be the same on hard braking.

I saw yesterday Xena in Hong Kong. They range is from 3600 Rs - 5000 (various models). I got some cheap one without alarm (bull dog or something) for 1800 Rs.

I'm sorry to say, but that might do more harm than good.
If someone moves the bike around (with the disc lock in place & absence of alarm to alert the miscreant), the front suspension & disc plate might get damaged due to it.
I hope you have thought of this.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Yeah I agree... but it has a very vibrant color orange wire (few cms thick) which you can attach to the lock and other end to the handle which is not to possible to ignore. Anyways was low on budget & got something which I may use only when I am touring somewhere as the parking place in my house and office is very safe and may need that lock

                    Hmmm.. Sounds better now.
I hope your bike isn't green, else the orange wire would be too easy to ignore with the green background.

THats a wee bit expensive. Here you get a xena zz6 (its a good fit for the Ninja) from 30 GBP onwards. Infact you would be able to get an oxford screamer alarm for less than 30.

Actually most disc locks don't have an alarm - the primary purpose is to be an additional lock, an alarm later. But Disc locks should always be accompanied with a disc lock reminder cable. Alarm or not, there is a chance of the rider riding away with the lock still on and then tipping his bike over. Has happened to me once!

Bull dog is actually a good brand. They make a lot of superb cable locks too.

Xena XZZ6 is the worst Xena lock, never buy it if you want to use the alarm. This is the only Xena model where the would be thief can cup his palm over the alarm unit and bring it down to 10 dbs instead of 110 db. It works well as a plain Disc lock, but that's not what you buy a Xena for, right?

Yeah... I was looking for this but was unable to get one The price here in hong kong for similar ones is around Rs 1500. Not sure if its worth it. I am planning to go to Kawasaki showroom today. If that monster tank pad is available, may get it . I have already got the Kawasaki Monster jacket (cloth one).

Coming back to India on 9th Jan...
