You can renew the insurance with Oriental or opt for another provider. See which company gives you a better deal in terms of coverage, bonus etc. There will not be major differences between companies but you may stand to gain with some homework. Also ensure there are no hidden clauses in the insurance cover.Originally posted by vrathor View PostGuys, it's time for me to renew the bike's insurance. My current provider is Oriental Insurance. Any idea on which insurance company I should go with?ATGATT - Because hospital ceilings are boring !!!

Iffico- tokio Insurance is the best option as compared to Oriental. They have a hassle free procedure while making claims. And I can say this because I have made one sadlyOriginally posted by vrathor View PostGuys, it's time for me to renew the bike's insurance. My current provider is Oriental Insurance. and every company gives no claim bonus so u can always go for a quote 1st and then decide.

Need Help ..
My brother had an accident with ninja because of oil spill on road. Luckily he escaped with some minor injuries because of good riding gear but sadly ninja had a bad hit.
The bike slipped on the right side and also dashed into my friend's bike tail breaking the windscreen and damaging the front cowl.
PBK gave me an overall estimate of Rs. 1,60000.00 but inspection from insurance guy is yet to be done.
Now guys i want to know how much would be the difference between the estimate and the actual bill.Behind every successful man .. there is a MACHINE

The bill you get is for what all parts you are planning to change. For which plastic(fairing) is 50% and metal is 100% recovery if bike is less than 6 months old ,thereafter it depreciates by 5% or so.. chk the oriental website for a detailed document.
for repair charges is decided by the insurance agent , as to how much he will give for each repair... that is not fixed..
But the main catch is ... You can see something as the estimation charges put as 1000 or so... you will not be getting that.. I do not know why so. ?RIP Marco

My bike is insured by Iffco Tokio insurance. Lets see what the agent says tommorow. But I feel 160k as estimate is to much. I am just hoping I don't end up paying a big fat amount.
All this because of some stupid oil spill on road. Around 10-12 bikes lost control. Guys ride properly cause even a speed of 40 can give this to your bike.

I suppose the frame sliders saved a lot of fiber parts...
Edit: Along with some damage... I see the frame sliders have bent the faring :O...
160000
estimate...
These are the reasons I am getting afraid to go for the Ninja

@joshishan - i would recommend checking the slider mounts, if they have bent or damaged anything inside the bike. Dunno if the insurance agent will point them out as a modification to the bike and create a hassle.

I'm not sure how many of them here will favour me in this one, but if the repair is too expensive for you, make it a street bike. at least temporarily.. As long as the engine is not damaged from the accident, performance won't be hindered...Originally posted by joshishaan View PostMy bike is insured by Iffco Tokio insurance. Frame sliders still is a must have. It did its part as it even saved my right signal light but then in my case it also went over a speed beaker and hence the dent on faringOriginally posted by kiran_borra View PostSorry about the crash
