Yes. I think the minimum mileage one should do before changing plugs should be 18000 kms.

I know that PSD are good tires, and many of you have gone for the same and are happy with the performance (better than IRC).

We seriously need more options when it comes to accessories and parts for the ninja.

That said, looks like the Sport Demons are the best choice so far for the ninja, albeit the short life (due to softer compound). BT45 is available here on order but costs around 18k for a set.

As per their review , they are telling that avon and dunlop is the best of the lot.
Avon being a bit heavy than the others, but thread wear is minimum..

I think Avon is available in the same shop from where you got the PSD.
Dunlop is not available.. I think so..

Read through the posts as well. The Avon has mixed reviews and i wouldn't suggest it.

Guys after 3 years of Green Dreaming [From the day Ninja release was announced] I am finally getting my Green Baby by this weekend

Its pretty hard to believe that finally my dream is coming true...

I have been following this thread from the day it was started by Praveen. Thanks to BV, Tenhut, Aditya, Kuchal, Harikesh, Sreehari and all the member's who have put a lot of info in this thread

Due to all your informative posts I felt like a co-owner of the ninja even though I did not have one

@F.I.: You are one Ninja crazy guy. I hope you turn 18 soon and get your baby

I was to get the Ninja almost 6 months back but waited for the CBR launch.. After riding the CBR it was a good bike but my heart still liked the Ninja

With all this introduction, I would like to ask all you knowledgeable Ninja Owners on what are the bullet points that needs to be checked before taking the delivery

Eagerly waiting for your responses as if everything goes well, I might get my Green baby tomorrow or else on Saturday....

hmmm.. In the Same link that i have posted above.. Even the continental contigo is given a better rating than the PSD.. why so..

Another update from a friend of mine in Infy.. He has run his bike for 18k kms + and his IRC are still going strong.. enough threads left still..

Any reasons as to how an IRC can perform that much... ?

Waiting for some pics

I got minor scratch on the left side of the rear tail while standing in queue for petrol just two days back. Next, day I had taken the bike to the SVC, they used some 3M teflon coating that I had got it done on first service for the complete bike and after rubbing the scratch is all gone.

So, I am looking for something like this that I could do this at home if in case my bike bike gets a minor scratch.
Any such coating would anyone suggest? And is there anyway to remove some minor scratches from the exhaust?

Congrats and glad we have been able to help.

On the PDI, just look for any scratches, dings and dents, if all the electricals are working perfectly (lights, horn, etc.). Other than that nothing you should be worried about.

Sunnysideup's tire is still as good as new even with close to 14k kms on it. Depends on the way the bike is ridden.

If you use the rear brakes a lot (even without locking the wheel), the tire does wear out much faster. It also depends on where he rides. If the bike is used as a commuter vehicle, then it wont see much of tire wear. Touring happens at high speeds so it leads to faster tire wear too.

My bike is at 12500 kms on the odo and i can safely say that the stock IRC will last another 2k to 3k kms at least.

Teflon coating will not remove scratches from the bike. Its a protective coat to resist scratches like wax polish.

Looks like they used a bit of rubbing compound to buff out the scratch.

Tire also need sufficient care as the bike. So, he must have done the same and also he had ensured that he would ran the bike on good tarmac and he must not going really high speed with his NINJA as high speed then burning of the rubber more quickly.

Ok got your point on that..

Yes that guy mentioned me , that he mostly uses for commuter purpose and few longer rides as well..
He mostly uses the front brake , than the rear ..hence rear tire are also lasting long..

Ok. That may be the case. Currently, I am having Formula 1 wax polish. It's wax coat vanishes in about 2-3 days and shine also gets dull as I observed. Is it good or should I switch to some other brand ?

Back from my Gangotri trip. Ninja perform well on hills. It was 975km journey. My seat was complete paisa wasool
