  • @n aditya: Nice pics. Drool! Greeeeeeeeeeeean! Wish they start a like option on Xbhp too. Plan to book one come March, but these pictures just added to my impatience!
Riding is a way of life. Sometimes, it might also be a way of giving life. So Ride safe. In both contexts.

    • Lets not nag about these trivial things, it is a safety feature. I will do more good than harm.

I am living with the scratches put on my bike by someone else and would advise the same to you as I was advised and I see good sense in it. No point spending money on cosmetics. Try if you can get a touch else enjoy your ride ... scratches do not affect the performance ...

          Pune Ninjas .. .plz help

Hrd that the Ninja service centre is moved to sai Auto. (I used to service in Kothrud but now apparently it has been changed.)
Do you know if they would come and collect the bike from your house and service it and give it back?
If any one has their phone numbers or such experience..plz let know.

MY bike is with a friend and am abroad and would need to service it. If they did collect, service and deliver it would have been fantastic.

To my knowledge, they dont provide this pick and drop. When I asked them for the reason they said - "The bike parts are expensive, so if our service guy picks it up from your place and if, God forbid, he meets with an accident, the damages will be too expensive to compensate for. Hence, we only send a mini truck to collect the bike should there be an emergency."

Still, it will be good if they start pick and drop if they already havent.

When going from Apte road towards JM (the in-between wala road)...there's Naturals to your left and Pizza hut to your right. Keep moving straight from the signal right ahead of you. Continue (ahead of the bridge to your right and Joshi wada to your left)...Sai Auto is to your right (of course you'll have to go ahead till the signal and take a u-turn to get there). I was there last week to pick my RC book...This is their office, but the Ninja gets serviced at their branch on Paud road (near SNDT cllg, on the opposite side of the road, near Dashabhuja Ganapati Mandir)...

Thanks, it was nice to get to speak on the stage at the ownership meet.

PS: Sukesh and I briefly met last night in Delhi. But for 20 mins or so...I had to hand over some stuff to him. Leave for Bangy today.

                  • Back wheel rim bent

My Ninja ran over a big pot hole at a speed of around 60 kmph. As it was around 9 PM at night, couldn't spot the hole until the bike went thudding over it. I continued the ride. After some time noticed that rear tyre is loosing pressure, so took it to a puncture shop. At that shop, the person pointed out that the rim has got bent. Since, it's tubeless tyre, air is leaking through the bent.

Any ideas, how much damage in terms of money it would cost? Could the bent in rim be rectified or would have to get the entire rim replaced? Any one faced similar issue?

dunno how much a N250R rim costs.

if the "bend" is just a minor one u can get it fixed...

if u still have an "air leakeage" problem after the repair work...

the most cost effective remedy would be to add a tube.

The safest thing is to get the rim replaced. It would cost u a bomb thou You wouldnt want to put ur life at risk with a defective rim when u touch speeds of 100+ on the Ninja!! Not sure of how much a replacement costs thou.

You should be able to claim insurance and get it replaced. Speak to the PBK guys - they should be able to guide you. I know of a case where the insurance company approved the claim.

                            • Guys, I have faced a similar problem with my four wheeler though. There are people around who can rectify the bent rim through a machine. I do not know whether it is possible to do the same for a bike rim though. Still you can explore and publish the results for the benefit of others.

Please be very careful though as it should not leak air (after repairing), and if you intend to put a tube in a tubeless tyre then the whole purpose/ benefit of having a tubeless tyre goes out for a toss. Under such an instance you should not do high speed riding (refer bike manual).

Best thing (safest) though is to get the entire rim replaced. Forget about the cost, it is less costly than your life.

                              • The Rim can be repaired if the bend is slight, else you can apply for insurance and get a replacement. ( rear rim would be around 24-25k ).
