test drive it first to check whether you can handle its weight easily or not, though with in few days you won't find it heavy at all,it doesn't feel that heavy as it looks..

    • [Wow this is really a quick reply. Actually I was pressing the f5 button hard to see if I get a response soon.. (Started a post in what a bike section but was not approve until now)..]

Thanks for the replies... ZMA is available here with an additional 5k price... so just thought of getting a ZMR, but bcoz of the weight I had a confusion in my mind. The biggest problem is I inquired in couple of showrooms and they are not ready to give the bike for a test ride. Even I thought of going for a test ride and then make a decision.

But usually in a test ride we may not feel the difference of the weight as we ride on a normal road and may be for few minutes. I think that when riding in heavy traffic or bad roads I might face an issue?! not sure thou!!!

The other points in my mind are:

I'm just a novice bike rider. I doesn't even know what should be the tyre pressure So is it ok to go for a ZMR?

Probably I might use the bike for 2-3 years!!! So will be able to sell it off easily???

Looking to take a decision soon and take the bike as early as 5-10 days.

Once again thanks for all those who directly and indirectly are helping me

      • @SamratReddy: I own a zmr for the past 10 months and I live in Hyderabad. I've been riding mostly in city and never really felt it was heavy, although sometimes it feels quite bulky in extreme traffic conditions, but hey, even a cycle rider wishes to fly in heavy traffic !
From variable Bhps to a constant 17.6 Bhp.

              • Finally took the test ride of ZMR.. The bike is damn good I have to say.. But..

I had problems taking the bike from the parking.. its really heavy..
The other thing is that I had problems with changing the gears and they were not very smooth..I had to pull the up very hard and sometimes twice.... is it bcoz I was used to the old passion style style gears or is the bike having any issue as it is used by different people?

there isn't any problem with its gears while shifting, only difficult thing in ZMR's gears is finding neutral while the bike is ON..that certainly is not easy..

gears are pretty smooth, you may have felt that coz you rode a TD vehicle/.

Replace the words "I have to" with "I choose to" and notice the difference in how you feel.

Its very easy to find the neutral once you find the technique. It was just a single click for me every time.
