I hope you poured in the entire bottle of AX7 in your bike. Check the dipstick markings.
What about air filter? May need replacement. How long have the spark plugs been in use?

Congrats. Sadly, you can't plonk a kicker in the bike. No provisions. But tension not, its all about maintenance. You won't need a kicker. BTW, you can always push start if needed.

You see to fix the Angel Eye, you'd have to split the HL dome and then stick it back, the issue you're going to face here is that if the person doing this isnt an experienced one or if the glue used to stick it back isnt of good quality then sooner or later water will start to enter, and it'll short out the HL unit. And its not a risk to take for something so cheap, you can get 2 for around 150/- Aneesh knows the exact price. So best option would be, if you're planning on opening up the dome then do it for something worthwhile like HID's etc.

Thanks for the input bro. I'm certainly evaluating the cons along with the 'wow' factor. Moreover, I'll do all the testing on a separate reflector first. If its too risky, then the angel eyes shall get pasted on my refrigerator.

BTW, what's the cost of the reflector?

Got my zmr today evening.....Happiest day in ma lyf.....it was an awesome experience....but the problem is showroom people said at the time i took delivery they said they didnt have mirrors of zmr and it was out stock. instead of they given me mirrors of ignitor which makes the ride uncomfortable i have to live with it for one week....

err, what??? dude! a new bike has all parts shipped with it. r u sure u didn't get a test ride bike? what is the odo reading?

i think what happened is they replaced the faulty old mirrors of some bike with the new ones which came with this bike...

In PDI(Pre-delivery Inspection), you should have caught this and told them shall take delivery only when we have all the ZMR parts in place. Even if they don't get you the mirrors, there is little chance you can go back and argue, since you ought to have signed papers while taking delivery that you care completely satisfied with checking and it was done in your presence, UNLESS they have explicitly given in writing about getting the mirrors.


@All :- While taking delievery after service, please cross check your complaints and if possible replacements done. Only then sign the job card. Most of the service centers ask to sign the job card at the time of making payment(in case of paid service). So if you were not finding things correct, they already have your sign and might only try to convince.

Recently faced an issue and Service Manager was involved to have better understanding of my action of taking test ride before signing. If you are not happy or the issue is not been addressed, please explicitly say these words ' I'M NOT SATISFIED WITH THE SERVICE' to the incharge.

Not related to ZMR, but PDI in general.

This is for understanding of the PDI process:-

(I along with dad went to Yamaha showroom to book an R15 v1 in Nov 2010)

My checklist included (I was not even aware of xbhp then)
1. Checking the ODO - must be less than 30 kms (RTO was 10 kms from the showroom)
2. Checking the bike for visible scratches.
3. Ensuring that the bike has ALL PARTS.
4. Checking the mobil (engine oil) level.
5. Checking all electrical parts.

Now my dad was concerned only for 2 things (he's not on xbhp yet)
1. Engine revs normal and doesn't misfire.
2. There are no oil leakages.

Yes, I was getting the R15!

BUT, on the delivery date, when the bike was unloaded from the truck (they store premium bikes in trucks at our place and just a show piece ride is available in the showroom) we were horrified to see the condition of the bike.
I'd opted for black and there were 2 of them. One had a broken right RVM with scratches on the exhaust and the other had those really bad tires.

For the scratched bike, they admitted they'd managed to ram it into the truck walls while parking it inside (still don't know how) and the other bike had its tire replaced. This didn't give my dad a good impression because he feared that other parts might have been replaced too.

Mind you, there was only 1 Yamaha showroom in my city at that time. Hence, we cancelled the booking. 2 months later, I got the ZMR.

no bro i didnt had the test ride with it....they showed me the alloted bike but there was no mirror at the time i thought it will be fixed when i took the delivery but when i took they said it will arrive in 3 days max 1week....

more over when i took the bike there was only one bike was available at that time....

Not question of having test ride. Your bike maybe given to others for test rides. It maybe used as a test ride bike.. How much kms had it run when you took delivery?

25 kms....here at trivandrum they said they are not giving test rides for zmr when i asked them before booking the byk for a test ride...
