you can try the way I tried it once.
if possible...try sitting on the rear seat while riding alone...and then try to feel how the rear break respons.
you might feel clumsey but I was pretty satisfied after trying it on my R15
Oh great, Thanks for the gyan. But i felt the "Bite" from the disk was better during the first 500 kilometers and all of a sudden it vanished after the first service.

Thats because, I covered almost 1000 kilometers in Forest roads / off roading and roads with just pot holes in my first trip. I'm getting above 40 kmpl in the last 500 kilometers now.

    • ZMR booking in Hyderabad/AP

My friend (for whose bike I put up the sale ad) went to HH Mody Motors to book ZMR&they are saying he has to wait till May even to book!
They have pending orders&not receiving stock from company also it seems-poor chap was all set to book it today.
The worst was-he was offered a red ZMR at Rs.20K premium over the cost of the vehicle!
Now we want to take this up seriously with HH, so I need your help on:
      1. Senior official contact email ids in HH
      2. Any other showrooms in AP where they take booking?
      Quench my thirst with gasoline!

        • Any one from Pune, who owns a ZMR ? I haven't seen a single ZMR on road in Pune, really surprising that too after 4 months from launch.

                      • Small Review

Did few kms yesterday on my Black ZMR. Here's my view on the bike

Handling & Posture - It maintains the road grip very well and whatever it is cement, tar, gravel. Felt the same everywhere. In-front i felt is very comfortable, even manoeuvring in the traffic. Overall handling is very good. Also it's huge, when you sit on it, then only you can feel it's bulkyness. You just cant get the feel from the snaps, it's totally a different feel. Weight - it's heavy, but while riding it, it just makes you to forget it. The posture on the bike is semi-sporty and feels comfortable even during a long run. Can't expect the feel of racing / sports bike with this seating posture. ❺/

ZMR as a machine - No comments. The best .. even though it has done only few kms in the initial run, i felt the smoothness ( makkhan ) and surely will increase as the engines does more and more run over a period of time. The tech features added on this bike, yes will help me in the long run. No cold start issue at all. One push start. ❺/

Suspension - Ohh, not to mention the effect of iGRS. Works well on the rough roads, give lot of comfort. Good for health if you are really +30 like me in long run. ❺/

Brakes - Front serves purpose, rear i still feel it can be improved. Will check it in the first servicing. What can be done to improve it's effectiveness. ❸/❺ ( Rear, disappointed me )

RVM - serves the purpose, very few vibrations are transmited to it, felt better that what I have ridden earlier. ❺/❺

Light - headlight - good for city, thought you can go in for a 55W option if you are too frequent on highways. In city the stock serves the purpose. Rear, Parking & Indicators - really eye-catchers. ❹/❺ For City Commuting & ❸/❺ for highway commuting

Horn - Loud, will serve it's purpose even on highways. Loud sound comes back from the fairing upto the seating positions, probably not a good place to install, should have been given a free way out. ❹/❺ because of the position

Punch/sound from Exhaust - Don't expect it to be like the SBK's, it's almost the same as ZMA / ZMA-R, many will agree to it. Yes but gives a feel after 4-5K rpm, Due to emission norms and cats added, It's surely going to be a quiter and envoirnment friendly bike. ❺/❺ for greener technology.

                        ❺/

Overall - I would say a very good bike. If you are betting on Handling, posture , engine & most important comfort, you can close you eyes and go for it. HH is known for durability, quality and a good service. Hence no comments on it. Overall : ❹/❺
