Are you sure? Then RE must be cheating customers like us who are waiting for 8 months just to get the bike. Can you confirm this?

I said under 2 lacs. Yes, the price comes to around 1.58 lacs OTR, at least where I live.

There is nothing like 'cheating'. In Punjab, demand of 500classic is less as compare to 350 classic which has waiting period of 6months.

Here, in Kerala, my friend got CL500 in just 2 days.. he says his father was a close friend of the owner of the showroom.... Cost 1.49 on-road.

Hi guys, finally paid the amount(cheque) for the bike on the 9th of feb.. I Will be getting the bike by thursday(17th) or friday(18th)..

Expecting some one in the forum to help me with some info about booking the bike in other states where its easily available so that i can get my hands on another RE product..

Now I know why is RE making me and others wait so much, it's because of this underhand jobs that the showroom guys perform. Already their manufacturing capacity is up to the limit and the demand for Classics is high and the showrooms want to cash in on that.

Hey guys just got my first bike - a black RE Classic 500

Didn't want to wait 10 months so bought a 1 yr old bike that's done 9100 kms. Has an upswept silencer as well.

Completely surprised by the character of the bike. It looks and sounds like a Bullet but behaves like a complete hooligan when you let it rip. Been leaving startled bikers, cars and pedestrians at pretty much every traffic signal. The torque is a real blast. Definitely not as nimble and sharp as my cousin's R15 but in a straight line it puts one hell of a smile on your face.

Going to give it in for a full service, sort out some issues I've found and get it teflon coated for rust. Any suggestions on how to make this baby run better?

Planning to go in for an sbk soon but this Bullet is definitely a keeper!

Got my Classic 500(Black) delivered on 18th of FEB,evening by 6:30.. Already done 375 kms in less than 48 hours.. What a PLEASURE..!!

Bike's back from service and WHAT a difference! Much smoother, pulls like crazy and sounds much better. Also replaced the rear wheel bushing which was worn out and making the bike wobble. Apparently this is a common problem with the new gen bullets as Enfield has decided to cut costs and use plastic bushings. Had given the bike to Samir in Mahim and told him I wanted it to run like new. Great job done by someone who knows his Bullets.

The previous owner had also "Raja Babued" the poor bike - huge front and rear guards, mudflap, headlight topi, double seat with double "OM" inscribed, backrest, phatphati silencer and terrible multi-coloured stripes and red eagle and "500" stickers.

Luckily he kept the stock parts so made him restore them immediately and threw out the old parts. Finally managed to get the stripes and stickers off too so the lovely Classic is finally looking like it was meant to, thank God.

Booked my C5 in July last year with Technik motors bangalore. No word from them yet. Wonder how much longer..

Hopefully you should be getting it by March end or by April.. But plz keep checking your waiting period frequently.. Anything may go wrong if you neglect on your part..

In fact I was supposed to book my bike at TEKNIK motors but the waiting period quoted by them was 10 months minimum & maximum of 12-13 months.. Where as the waiting period was minimum 7 months & the maximum time was 10 months at the BRAND STORE in jaynagar.. I had no other go but to book it at the BRAND STORE..

Guys, the RE website says the top speed of CL500 is 130kmph. Could someone tell me about whats the max comfortable cruising speed on it?

Just called up the Chennai showroom and they told the waiting PERIOD is 4 months.......................Why is the inconsistency all around ????????????

Good news is that they are bringing down the wait period.. but not all at once.. they are initially targeting chennai.. then to other places..

I was in for a T bird , took a test ride and being a non bulleteer was floored by the comfortable seating position and the oodles of torque, then i did something wrong..... i took a test ride of C5 yesterday and couldn't help being blown away.

i got up this morning read this thread from start to finish and have ended up confused, the spark issues kinda scared me but then i also read that it has been addressed in the new C5s. The earlier owners aren't posting much now so i don't have a clue about the long term reliability. Looking to hear from you guys soon so I may get to make a decision.
