I gave a thought about it and infact checked with local service center where they take up modification works also. The guy advised me against it as he feels it might be unpredictable, and might induce stability issues. Dint find time to verify on the fact though, if somebody can share their experience/thoughts on this, would be useful.Originally posted by somen1984 View PostHas anyone tried for Classic Rear Disc brake conversion from Drum brake??

Can we put the swing arms of TB500 in CL500, then it might be little easy to do it.Originally posted by LazyRyder View PostI gave a thought about it and infact checked with local service center where they take up modification works also. Some amount of oil drip is common in all Bullet bikes. You need to check if the oil level that is visible in small glass window on the RHS of the engine is within the indicated level markers. If this level has dropped, please top up the bike with recommended oil SAE 15W50. Usually, after a wash, you will see that the oil accumulates near the kick shaft as indicated in your pic. Nothing to worry about. Also ensure that you lube the chain every 500 Kms for better performance. Use a chain spray cleaner or kerosene to clean the chain. Recommended oil for the chain is SAE 90 gear oil. When the chain is lubed and you have run your bike, you will see that the rear tyre rim will be smeared with oil drops similar to the one that you see in your pic. This can be cleaned with some kerosene and rag/paper.
Enjoy riding the bull. Some amount of weekend attention will ensure that your stead reciprocates to your attention.

.... just a few more suggesstions...
1) Is 91 octane fuel meant for 500cc bikes.... RE guys and the mechanic suggested to use 91 octane fuels..... I ve read somewhere that it is no meant for bikes..... is it true..... and also... while on long rides finding bunks with such fuel in nremote locations would be difficult... so shall i change it to normal fuel or stick to premium fuels....
2) gears are still a bit notchy and false neutrals happens frequently..... i m done with first service and though it smoothened up a lot but still false neutrals is a recuurence..... is it ok? i mean happens with everyone ...?

Has anyone got Desert storm from RE store in Rajajinagar?
What is the booking amount?
What is the waiting period for Desert Storm?
Thanks,

Hi Raghu,
I got my Desert storm on 22nd jan after waiting for more then 10 months .... I booked it in RE store Jayanagar on 4th april 2012 . Booking amount was 5K ... the current waiting period would be anywhere between 5-7 months as i speculate. Visit their store and get it clarified.... I think the DS booking has dropped after Thunderbird 500 launch. ... But whatever the waiting period is... ITS WORTH WAITING FOR......

Hello everyone, am going for a classic 500 soon. I just wanted to know what will be the average fuel efficiency of this bull in city limits and on highways, and still is their any problem related to its fuel injection. Please do reply, thank u.

In city it will give you around 20-25, but on highways it go up to 35! FI has absolutely no issues and works flawlessly.Originally posted by seahorses View PostHello everyone, am going for a classic 500 soon.
