Hey Barkha, i know its a bit late but congrats yaar for your prized possession. Its really looking fantastic in that matte finish. Hope you churn more and more miles out of it. One more thing which would like to mention is that, you have again made this thread so active. Previously when i used to check it daily, hardly their would be any updates and now its different. Due to some reasons i was not able to open this thread for a week and i when i opened it, i was surprised. 2 new owners in a week's time, that's a good thing. Anyways, ride safely Barkha, keep posting.

Desperate to Se my bike for the first time and taking the delivery in time. I reached the show room sharp at 11 am as i had told the dealer, paper works discussions and on and on the delivery guy was going Paid cash to him.. Finally I said to him "dam with your legal procedures first I want to Se my Bike''.. And then the time came.. my heart thumping louder than the C5' s exhaust a guy from the RE workshop pushed the bike by hand and brought it in front of Me... Wow that was the most amazing moment of my life, it was A Dream Coming True.

Giving thanks To the delivery Guy Vijay and the manager Sandeep after few discussion drove the bike straight home from Pune- Manchar 65 km. The ride home was fantastic every body at each signal and stop turned ther heads and gazing my bike that experience was some thing I cant express and which I face even now.. I just feel like the King of the road..

Reached home parked the bike under my building.

Its a bit difficult to ride this bike every time for work as its a very short ride and reach at work before I shift the gear to 5th, so the bike is parked all day. Every evening go on a short ride at-least 20-30 km with my wife and daughter.

Its like Biking in the Blood my Daughter too loves the ride and enjoys the front seat....

Had my First service done at 560 kms. Got the Oil changed Paper element, Oil filter and some other adjustments done...
Wow now that's a complete transformation the pickup has improved the gear shifting is great and also the mileage has increased. Completed my 962 kms today and many more kms to go, loving my bike and enjoying the great riding experience.

Well then that's all I experienced in a very short time with my Beast Machine will be in touch and need many advises from the senior RE owners. Its great to be a part of the Legendary ownership Of the Royal Enfield Group Thanks a Lot to XBhp for making me a member.
Hey Cruzer man, congrats first of all for bringing such a beautiful peace of machine. You have not only bought this bike but also bought its heritage and respect with you. Hope you will have a great time with it and hope so your wife will not get jealous of it because as they say, you just don't buy a bullet, but you marry her and bring it.

        Hi Bike tourer,

All 500's are mechanically the same, its all a matter of personal preference.. Good luck with your bike. Do post pics when you get it.

        Cheers!

            Hi Barkha,

Congrats on your DS. Did you get your TailGunner and got it installed?
Please do share the video of the same once done.
Keen to know how it thumps and its performance.

Hello Mizbah, i aslo replaced my battery recently of my cl500, went with EXIDE only though, but this one is a new model. i forgot its name though, this one's purple in color. I tried to search for other brands, but since its a 14Ah battery, nobody had stock except EXIDE and as i was in a hurry so went with it. Got 4 years warranty with it.

I was also thinking of EXIDE. How much did it cost you? And frankly EXIDE seems a great deal to me with the 4 years warranty. But is there anything better than EXIDE that you all would suggest?

I bought it for 2200rs from a local EXIDE dealer. I will say, go with EXIDE as its a steal for its money. It should minimum work for 2years at least.

                  • RE classic chrome ride quality gone down

Hi, i bought the classic chrome 1 month back. The bike has 1650Kms on it right now. Of late, i have felt that the bike is no longer smooth in terms of power.
While riding, if i let go of the throttle and then accelerate again, it feels that the bike is lugging (this happens at all speeds). I am not sure if this is how its supposed to be. I talked to the service guy and he said it is normal for a big engine bike like that. Also, if running at speeds around 60kmps, if i stop the throttle, the engine feels as if something heavy is moving inside it. I fear the Engine oil change was not done properly at the 1st service. Any idea what is happening?

hi, The bike does not give out any smoke.. and it is even able to touch high speeds of around 80 easily (haven't tried going any higher since its still in run in period). Another thing is that i don't see the engine oil in the viewer. This happens even after i have warmed the engine for some time and then let it stand on the center stand. can this be the cause (less lubrication)

                          Vidyut,

Check under your bike whether there are any oil leaks from the drain plug or anywhere else. If you cannot see any oil through the sight glass, you need to top it up asap. Guess your first service is over. Its safe to go a bit faster progressively. But check your oil ASAP. It could screw your engine up.

                          Cheers!

Take your bike to any nearby mechanic and get your oil level checked. Also check both the spark plug.

                              Hi Sidewinder and Mizbah,

No, there are no oil leaks under the bike. Would try to get the engine oil top up. But would not get any time till this weekend. as by the time i come from office the service station is already closed . Another thing is how would this service be treated - as part of my free 2nd service due for 3000Kms(currently odo is at 1950km) or as a paid service.

For the oil check and if needed topup can be done at any decent bullet mechanic shop. You don't really have to visit the service center. Do check the condition of both the spark plugs..
