    Calicut , Kerala.

    The bullet 500(carb) has a waiting period of 3 months.
    I was prepared to wait upto 6months.

    But there was this classic 500 available.
    i guess nobody wanted the maroon 500efi.
    Most of the thumpers ive seen here are black
    So i got it

    Will pay the cash tomorrow and get the bike delivered on friday
    As tomorrow is a govt. holiday and RTO is closed

            hey guys,

            Some time back the gear gasket seal went kaput and i got it changed. After some days checked the oil level and it was down to minimum.
            Checked the gear lever and thin layer of oil has accumulated again at that part. Do i need to get the seal changed again ?

            Anyone who has faced this issue so often ?

              Got it. The culprit is damaged seal yet AGAIN !!

              Would get it replaced tomorrow and look for some jugad for long term durability.

              BTW can we install this in our bull ??

                Yes, the can be installed afaik

                Although they will not look good,
                they will look similar to the lights people put up at jewellery shop display windows.
                And considering your headlamp is yellow ( halogen) it doesn't give a good contrast.

                  Yup. that's why didn't go forward with the purchase.

                  Recently got the indicators connections rewired to convert them to the parking lights ( blinking all at once ) with a flick of an extra button. Really helps in the heavy foggy days.

                      Ummn. I got it done from a local electrician.

                      What he did was installed an extra button and connected the wiring to the indicator plug assembly which is present under the head light. A simple job.
                      No flasher is required. Just a meter long wire and custom button.

                      Charges : 100 bucks. Though I think this was more than what i should pay. 50 - 60 bucks in reasonable price.

                      I cant share the pic because my primary phone is kaput and i am using a basic model.

                        One of my friend booked classic 350 in Hyderabad Kondapur showroom in April. They promised the bike in this month. Now every week they are postponing. Can I have South Indian sales manager's number/email id to escalate this matter.

                        We have visited showroom lot of times, and everytime they say, we will get the call for money payment. But they dont call. Even if we call, they dont respond.

                          AFAIK in Karnataka depending on the color, waiting period for CL350 generally varies from 8 months to 10 months. I would say try to get the waiting number of your friend`s booking and keep tracking it every week.

                              Been away for a while, did a few good rides in the meanwhile. changed my silencer to an open shortie. The sound is not as irritating as i expected. Sounds different. still running the K&N and iridium sparks. Got the cables replaced and dumped the crash guard. Planning a ride from Kochi - Goa sometime in Jan. So if anyone is in Goa during the second week do get in touch. Ive had my share of glitches. There are days when i wanna set it on fire. But yeah, like all you guys know.. any one worth holding on to requires a special kinda nut to put up with their nonsense... Its the same with enfields. Its never gonna be vibration free or smooth revving or whatever it is that you may expect from it. Its a non ending saga of finding new things to fix. So when you get the time, get on the bike.. and ride. Alone. Leave the phone behind and let the bike heighten all your senses. Its been a while since we saw any nice trip pics over here. Its become monotonous going through the same drivel again and again. Please share your experiences. Not just how you booked your bike and delivery dates and everything else that has nothing to do with the true spirit of riding. No pun intended. Just voicing my thoughts. . Looking forward to hearing from you guys.

                                Those two comments got me interested.

                                Open Shortie: So is that a complete free flow? If yes. How is the thump and did it drop the mileage or affected the performance?

                                K&N: How is your experience with K&N, what changes do you see and did it affect the mileage? Is Iridium spark plugs must after using K&N, stock won't do the job? . I think that is Classic500 so did you get the ECU remapped or something after installing K&N.

                                Expecting a detailed reply from you as actually I was looking for an RE guy with K&N mod
