Same here, topped it with nearly 500ml, my ride is just a week old.

well i drained the whole engine oil, found it to be nearly 2.5L
Called up the RE svc guys and informed "NO ISSUES"
it seems some oil was in the left side of the engine because of which it wasn't visible in the glass.

Hi guys. This is my first post here.

      I have a Classic 500 2012 model.

It has done somewhere around 22k kms now. And I'm looking to get the stock tyres replaced. What would be your suggestion guys? I have Pirelli Sport Demon in mind but I think it does not come in a 19" at the front.

      Peace!

+1 to that. IMO The one in blue, spoils it to a very great extent.

Hi all, I have booked a Classic 500 tan and will be getting it probably in the next few days. The dealer from whom I have booked is about 430kms away from my hometown, so I want to know whether riding a brand new bike for such a long distance will be a good idea or should I get it transported in train ? If I bring it by riding all the way it will be immediately due for first service, nearest RE Dealer is 40kms.

                  Thanks

You can ride on your bike to bring it home without any issues. But, do follow the running-in instructions scrupulously without fail.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask thia.

I got the RE DS 500 2 weeks back and haven't rode it much since, only 50 KMS done.

Today when i was riding it i noticed petrol is leaking from this part.

Facing this issue for 3 months, bike has spent most time at Kay Tee automobiles, Mahipalpur, New Delhi. they just don't care to solve it. The quantum of petr...

I'm new to bikes and have very less idea about the parts, ill take it to the shop in the evening but i needed to know what problem this is and how bad it is. The amount of petrol was 1 drop every 2-3 seconds.

From the video, it looks like the fuel hose has come out a little bit from the inlet entry point. Loosen the clamp, press to insert the hose fully at the inlet entry point and tighten the clamp. If the hose is punctured, please get it replaced with a new one. Don't take risk.

I have converted my bike to Carb, it just 100 KM so cant comment on ot but one thing is very sure, No jerks and crisp of riding (throttle response) is missing.
I have done the complete conversion, as mine was 2010 Model with old wiring harness (few cuts in all those days).

Check the current on the battery terminals, if it is lesser than 13V with little throttle input and all lights off then check for the magnet.
I had faced the same issue with 2010 classic 500 at 32K on the odo.
Magnet or the coil or alternator had gone week, hence this issue.
