  • Hi Everyone

    Hi Guys,
I just joined xbhp. I must say that this site is great to exchange info abt bikes.
Well getting to the matter, currently i ride a CT100 which has served me for around 6 years and lets say it has started showing its age...
So i would be looking for a new bike probably next month. My budget is around 65k and i found out that Pulsar 135LS is in this range.
But lately i have heard many negative comments abt it.....mainly its regarding the durability of this bike.
So i want to ask u guys that should i go for this bike or is there any other options other than this.
BTW i really like this bikes looks.....

good that you like its looks...go through this thread and you'll get to know about all the negative as well as positive aspects of this bike....
A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

Have been using the 135 LS since 8 months and have covered 14K kms without any hitch. More importantly most of my touring is with more powerful bikes like R15 and P220 for company and even then I can manage to be on their tails even if they are speeding. and twisties are an absolute delight. was able to take hairpins with a pillion @ 60 kph on kashedi ghat last month. and still going strong.

One guy in the neighboring apartment could not sell it for whole 3 months, he was quoting 40K, he came down every passing week finally his newspaper agent bought it for 30K...his bike was Dec2009 done 7.4K.
Finding a buyer will be a challenge...

That headlight is nowhere available in India...you will have to get it shipped...have a look at this one..it looks even better...35W twin Halogens..

                      Did he , really?

Doble 07.. I guess you can safely expect 40k for your bike. I sold mine for 45k after doing 9.5k kms on it. If you are not desperate to sell, you will easily get good price.. In fact I had to say no to a deal, where I would have got 49k, just because I wanted the bike for few more days. And In the end I had to sell it for 45k, coz I was travelling overseas the next day!!

                        1. yes there is vibration but in my case even on 30 when bike was new but just ride the bike at 70kmph for few kms bearing the vibration you will feel less vibration on other day but it still presists above 75-80 for me, and on 90 you are completely on it
                        2.no prob in shock
3.For fuel indicator i have seen that even any indian bikes (no idea about SBKs ) doesn't show exact figures you will get used to it after time being
4.Aggred but in my case only for Neutral gear.
                        5.same answer as third point
But at last i want to tell you all that i may have less experience with this bike because i have done only 1000 kms on it.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

Go for Motul 15W50.. it's a mineral oil or even go for synthetic oil from Motul, which I think is not required for P135.. this oil change should also bring down the vibrations you are experiencing at some speeds. It will also help in making gear shifts predictable & smoother.
