I mean if you are unable to change 1st to neutral, i.e. its slips to 2nd. Then use the engine kill switch. The engine will be off. Depress the clutch and then tap the shifter up from 1st gear. It will go to neutral. If the engine was on instead, it would have slipped to 2nd. I hope this makes things clear.

    • problems with gear shift show up only when you are not dealing with it correctly.. i.e. if you are inconsistent with changing gears.. sometimes people would be soft and easy on gear shifts.. and when they are in hurry they show the same on gear shifts. If one can avoid this .. and always change gears in a consistent manner.. then shifting to neutral wouldn't be a problem at all. I face problems in finding neutral.. only when riding in very heavy bumper to bumper traffic for longer durations.. i.e. for more than a hour or so. Otherwise finding neutral is as easy as thumb starting the bike.

well that was obvious but you wouldnt be doin that everytime especially whn you are in traffic...
A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

Earlier when I was facing this problem I used to do this. Specially since I am actually from HH toe-hill sifter(all up). It was just a workaround for people finding the neutral. Now it is no problem. I can find neutral in both traffic & in empty roads.

In traffic my practice was to remain in 1st gear & using engine kill. Then turn it back on and using the self-start.

I need to. All my savings were exchanged for my P135LS.

Did 1st service today, poured Castrol Active Xtra 20W50, adjusted handle tightness, front & rear brakes. Clutch was a bit loose, tightened it.

Engine is butter smooth now, Gear shifting is also very smooth now. Looks like I have fallen in love with my P135LS for the second time.

Can't wait to complete 1000kms. Its only 651kms on odo till now.

I will wait for another 600kms and pour new oil

Let me see how the oil is doing after 500kms

Bajaj service center is here good I will say. Some people have reports that those people pur 20W40 & sometimes car engine oil in SVC. I double check they pour 20W50 Activ Xtra.

Oh. I forget to mention they charged 237 for Service, 230 for oil & 7 for tax. Nothing more.

Found this P135 on my trip to Srisailam last week. Thought sharing the innovation...

                          • I must say, she is quite powerful. I got to test her abilities on my way back from college on an empty road, and she touched 110 km/hr without breaking a sweat. Pretty neat figures for a 135cc bike.

Thanks to the four-valves, she never feels tired.

Right.. its the 4 valve DTS-i engine, coupled with the light and agile chassis that makes the P135 a special bike.
