ELF MOTO4 CAMPIONE 10w60 (fully synthetic PAO based oil)
REPSOL SINTETICO 10w40 (fully synthetic group III)
MOTUL 300V 15w40 (DOUBLE ester based oil)
MOBIL 1 TDT turbo diesel truck 10w40(fully synthetic PAO based) for diesel motor

pls advice me what to use my odo reading is 6000km!!!!! thanks
    Hi, andrei.

my p135 has clicked 35000 km. During this period i ve tried a lot of the oil brands of various type. What oil to use depends on the rider.

The company recomends 'Sae 20w50 api sl jaso ma grade' here in india. Here in india i only found this being manufactured by castrol. This is best for performance the bike will have a lift off at the end of the countdown. Down side is that you have to have to change it after 1500 km. I wont recomend if you are one of those who wants less messy and long intervals between servicing. However bajaj also has an oil called dtsi 10,000
Its 20w50 api but last 10000 km. I havent tried this one yet.
If the last conditions suits you then use any synthetic oil. It lasts atleast 3500 km. Sounds n runs smooth. Very marginal loss in performance.

But trust me you need to expirement to find what suits you n d machine.

For the last 4 days i have been following this thread(almost 100 posts read)...
I just wanted to share something. When i decided to buy this baby, and told my friends about it, dont know what happened.... Seemed like the whole world is going against me. Everyone seems to hate this bike, and advised me against this. Though not a single one of them had any valid reason for that. Even the dealer was against this bike, and told me to take the Disco 150 instead. Again, no valid reasons. The only reason that someone could come up with was the bike's looks..
Dont know what others have against this bike, but after 1750 posts of satisfied p135 owners, i hav no doubts about this bike. Booked it yesterday..
Have to wait 1 month.... as it is seemingly an unpopular bike() in here....
But, no worries though, since i made the right decision.......
You wont regret taking that decision is all i can say for now ! Congratulations ! By the way where are you from ?

there are a few concerns i have, if some of the more experienced owners could help, please??
      1) after my first servicing (@ 620 kms) , the Service station guys have done something with my bike, which has increased the engine idling speed, very considerably...earlier, it used to be at 1000 rpm, and now , when i have just started it, its at 1.5k, and after a while, reaches 2.5, and sometimes even 4 ... what do i do about this ??

      2) have anyone of your noticed the headlight projection, (diiper) is a little crooked???
      did you say BLUE ?

and i did post on your page but would like to again tell you..if it comes back to 1.5k again its the AUTO-CHOKE feature of the bike...dont worry...
A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

tripura whose capital is agartala right? ..dude i was good at geography at school !

Great to have a biker friend right from another corner of the country

Nothing in particular..bajaj is good (atleast it was here) I was too excited to check anything However..

            1. Match Engine/Chassis No. with temp papers given to you..
            2. Engine Oil / Brake oil level
            3. Mirrors if they are properly fitted, scratches (caused due to handling the bike from godown to showroom)
            3. headlamps/tail-lamps/indicators if they work
others might add if i forgot something...

and yes most importantly check if the bike works !

            • Thanks nin.. Would sure do that..

I was thinking of changing the logo to the chiseled 3d writings, like the ones in pulsar 220. What do you think? And what about the headlamps of 220? I mean the dual lights.. Do you think they would fit in the p135?

That would look good but can be stolen easily...

p220 lights are not a direct fit..a local jugaad is necessary...

P.S. Dont do anything on your new bike yet...warranty will get void...its for 2years...

                    • @ NIN ,
no, the engine speed wasn't coming down, and it was increasing, as i rode the bike more ....! i took it back to the service center, and they fixed it!
i'm getting an average of 52-54, and i ride at an average speed of 50 kmph, sometimes cruising at 65 , i tried to control myself for the first 50-0 kms, but after that, i just can NOT . plus, my father told me me to ride it the way i would ride it later on, and he took it for a few spins himself, rev-ing it very hard and slow, he says thats how an engine should really be run in :/
