No wonder the bike flied when you went to the tracks with him. I saw that thread. He posted very good lap times. Battlax pair is how much? 15K? Well its the same make as SBK tyres so I guess it will definitely be better than stock .
Din't time myself this time around. But I 'felt' I was a bit faster. Was doing about 2.30 previously, this time might have dropped about 4-5 secs!

Amen to SBK tyres.....battlax is totally outta budget! Atleast for me!

    • the discussion over here helped me realize why i am not 100% satisfied with the cornering of my bike.....

Experts of 220 here shared their immense knowledge about this bikes handling part.

Thanks guys, i guess i should not push the bike to its limits of cornering capability......

      • ^Bingo!

If you had a Suzuki Bandit or a Yamaha FZ1,u would be disappointed whenever u went to a track. That's the 220 for u.

But if u had Suzuki GIXXER or Yamaha R1, u would be much happier with the results. That's R15 for u!

        It's as simple as that!
I had figured this out before even this bike was released. If u remember a thread called 'P220-the design'!

Moreover, imagine a schematic drawing. In this drawing there is a track drawn to the left of it and highway drawn to the right of it.

R15 sits near the track and Karizma sits near the highway. The 220 sits in between!

+1000. Thats what I always had in mind. It's more of an all-purpose. Street, tracks, highway, its not the best in everything, but it does everything pretty well, maybe except the tracks ....

                      Not yet!

To be called get the tourer part of the tag, it needs to be a lot more reliable!

                      • Now the Bajaj strategy becomes clear.

Try to pull in as many customers as possible from touring, sports, city type of riders!

As said before, my next bike will be a full blown sportsbike with extreme wrist breaking riding position, full fairing and preferably a wing on it's tank!

Nope.. but i know that they are better than a 220 on cornering.

Even the riding position on the P220 is somewhere in between "Sporty" and "Relaxed".

All I have ever done on my P220 is commuting and touring.

That was the cover of the starter motor dude...it should also be replaced....

Good to hear about your view on handling too!
Am changing both the fairing and the frame that holds it bro.....

Here the fairing + bracket costs somewhere around 2.8 k......How is the variation in the prices of spares??

                              • It's been some time since P220 was launched. Should we expect an upgrade soon ?

I recently went to PBK pune with intentions of buying the P220 and asked the sales guy if they are expecting an upgrade. He asked me to wait couple of weeks....
