  • Have any of you had a problem with the leakage at the head?? My bike came back from 4th service just 10 days ago and I've not ridden it a lot since then.. But then I had a minor crash in due course and now I see oil leakage at the head.. I'm very sure that the crash was not very harsh.. It happened only at some 20-25 kmph speed and the engine never took a beating.. Any other cases of oil leakage at the head??

One more thing... The guys at PBK keep asking about the addition of some performance oil along with the engine oil.. Is it of any use??? Have anyone seen a marked difference in the performance or is it just another sales technique??

Are you talking about NANO? If yes, check my recent post in the previous page.

May be there is bit more engine oil filled at the time of servicing. Any way get it checked

been using Nano since 1st service. So cant comment on performance coz never rode without having nano mixed in my engine oil. But did asked Durgesh ji about it. He said unline Nulon & other stuffs it is better as it forms a coating of Titanium ceramic coating around the chamber & piston. This is what the manufacturer claims too Seems that doesnt harm so....
Engine oils additives should not be used, these are nothing but marketing gimmicks! Infact engine oil additives companies in US are facing tonnes of lawsuits for damaging engines.

Don't believe google up on it!

Precisely my point. Another thing to note is the fact that I have seen many a P220's and P200's timing chain been changed, and I had a talk with the owners, and interestingly each one of them have been using this Nano SHIT!

Thank GOD, I don't..9000kms. on the ODO and my P200 is singing merrily!

Another interesting thing is that the issue with timing chains has been reported only in Delhi.

              Absolutely!

Yet another interesting point is that this Nano SHIT is being used ONLY in Delhi by the so called professional PBK technicians!

You won't believe how thankful I am I have NEVER used this Nano thingy. It surely does affect the engine (atleast the timing chain).

                Btw, what is this Nano?

The PBK guys in Chennai used to prod me to use some additive from Bardhal. Thankfully I never paid any heed to their advice!

It's some kind of an addictive to be used with engine oil. The pack it comes in itself looks like tobacco packet or something! I loathe even the sight of the mixture. It has strange properties, really. Once mixed with the engine oil, you would be able to see the engine oil's color changed to light yellow or so. That gives me the creeps and makes me really pity the engine!

Dude, you make it sound like its that green gooey liquids stuff that was found in the old Half Life game series!

Btw, who is the manufacturer for NANO?

Not green, but yellow. The gooey property remain the same!

I have ZERO idea who the manufacturer is. I didn't bother to, neither did I feel the interest to!

                      • Even the kolkata PBK refers Bardahl additives saying that it is recommended by BAL exclusively for the 200 and 220.....used it once but strangely my gearshifts became stiffer, fuel efficiency dropped by 7-8kmpl and the engine felt completely different...immediately flushed the oil in a week and replaced it with Motul300V....life was smoooooooooth since then

Can you describe the "shaking" part...
I mean, is it vibration from the engine/fairing?
Does your handle shake a lot? or the rear tramlines?
Have you checked your air pressure lately?

There are many possibilities...can you elaborate the problem?
Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.
