I did check my engine oil level at PBK today and he said that some cap has worn out.. He's asked me to replace that 14 bucks ( the cheapest product at pbk I suppose ) thingy and he wants me to come tomoro or day after for that to be fixed.. He says its pretty simple but wants a hour and a half to fix it.. Thanks for the info anyways as he did agree that there was excess oil and I saw it myself before I started..

PBK guys are the same everywhere... Don't expect anything more from them..

They simply make arguments saying that everything is fine... They don't get anything done as per our requirement and its as though that they are going to ride the bike.. Its so annoying sometimes.. Why don't they deliver what we want..

Don't believe google up on it!

Here's something to start with - Car maintenance bibles: Oil Additives

          • Important Info

Man that Kirti Nagar PBK is no good. That mechanic has set idling RPM so low that my bike refuses to start in the morning without throttle input.
Also while riding below 60, If I close the throttle & then open it the bike for a few milli sec feels like doesn't respond to the input I give. No such problems were faced by me earlier.
            Hello Bajaj guys:
You listening??? We have paid so much for that "exclusivity" factor. You guys are marketing P200, 220 & Avenger as Pro Biking too!! So why not have dedicated PBK for only these 3 models.
When you guys would be launching Ninja250 & Dukes are we expeced to see the same thing!!! This is really pathetic

            • Kirti Nagar is a dedicated Pro-Biking service station. You are not supposed to give any throttle input while pressing the starter button.

If the idling has gone haywire then better get it corrected.

                Dada,
what dedicated??? Platina, P150, 180 all get serviced there. Obviously volume of Bikes coming for service increases!! Its just lke Karol Bagh. Whereas the Okhla PBK only caters to P220 , 200 & Avenger!

Yes I know that I am not supposed to give throttle input while starting. But I have to or else my bike wont start!! It never happened with me earlier. Also you know that nowadays in Delhi its not so cold.

Observation: Big. But dissapointed to know that it caters to all the bikes of Bajaj. The only dedicated PBK is Okhla.

Isnt this getting a bit confusing?
                  No Nonsense Biker.

                  • @rx-There might be a possibility that CO is incorrect.

The platina's,discover which are serviced in Kirti Nagar is because they have a lot of empty bays on the back and Karol Bagh is always full.

So, that makes it just like any other Bajaj service station, and NOT exclusive PBK service center. Isn't it MG?

Anyways, as long as the P220s, 200s (Probikes) are serviced according to customer's satisfaction, who cares.
                      :)

                      • There are hardly 2-3 non pbk bikes which are serviced per day in Kirti Nagar and as I said these are the bikes which needs a lot of work and are sent from Karol Bagh.

                        • Does some points noted here explain the Delhi 220s going clank!

Can you tell me if this will cause any problems.
My bike's idle is 1200RPM when warm, so when cold (1000RPM) it refuses to start without little throttle input. What harm will it cause?

Also i wanted to know if setting idle RPM lower will contribute in anyway to the fuel effiency.

I mean, is it vibration from the engine/fairing?
Does your handle shake a lot? or the rear tramlines?
Have you checked your air pressure lately?

There are many possibilities...can you elaborate the problem?
