Been a long time since i posted any issues
, been that way for some time now(touch wood).
Today though i had stopped at petrol pump for some time and when i tried to start my bike it just wont start, the initial checks were fine but as soon as I hit the start button the bike just gave a click kinda noise thats it.
from past 2-3 weeks i had this issue sometimes but it always used to start on second try, but today i had to switch it off twice before it started.
Will check things at PBK 2morrow.
In the mean time any body any gyan on this ?Aprilia RS 125 or Honda CB400 Vtec ..... which one will it be ??? I think its gonna be NINJA ZX 6R :-)

Some issue with the electricals going to the fuel-injector or starter motor..... I have seen this issue in a friend's P220... he got it rectified at SK Bajaj PBK.... it was some blown fuse issue. If the bike push-starts ... then issue with starter motor.... some fuse that supports the motor electricals.Originally posted by chilled_fire View PostBeen a long time since i posted any issues

Ya.... there might be a loose connection which may have led to the blown fuse.... or like an issue Praful had sometime back... some wires under the seat were bare open (came out of the plastic insulation covering due to regular opening of the seats) and came in contact with the chassis somewhere and caused the electricals to blow, and hence the fuse. Get it checked... it sounds like a minor issue.Originally posted by chilled_fire View Post^^^ hummmmm, but if the fuse is blown then how come it starts after one or two tries ? i feel some connection issue, lets see .... will check 2morrowChetan

Had the same problem. I used to get this karrack karrack sound... Get them to open up the case and inspect the starter clutch. Mine had some broken plastic bits inside the starter clutch container thingy...which had to be replaced
the plastic bits i mean.. sorry I don't exactly remember what they're supposed to be.. Some sort of bushes is believe.. anyway.. open..check..replaceRiot Engine |Norton WD 16H | BSA C11G |Enfield Fury

Chilled: I had a similar probs some months back. That solenoid thing went kaput. I think thats the same probs you are also having. Click sound, but bike wont start. Just with a piece of metal you got to touch both end of that solenoid thing. After a spark, bike would come to life. Hope I am able to communicate properly

Dude, just explain them the situation & also suggest the solution, i.e. changing the solenoid thing. I hope they will be anle to understnad the problem. In my PBK, when I explained them the problem, they were quick to point out the problem & promptly showed me how to start the bike when in need. They then chnaged that thing. This click thing will be very sparse initially then it will increase. So better get it checked dude

well just came back from PBK, they have kept the battery for charging even though the reading on multimeter showed 12.58 which i believe is fine.
When i reached therr the bike was still giving the clicks, when the mech tightened the screw of the solenoid and the clicks were gone, but just as a precaution they have kept the battery to charge fully and then will check again , am just praying that there shouldnt be an issue with starter , else am in for loosing some money here

Been there done that! Have spent numerous hours at PBK, maybe a good double digit percentage of my life in the past 1 year would be spent in PBK at Chennai/Bangalore/Pune! Even if I want to get something fixed my way, it all boils down to mech who's servicing it, his depth of knowledge, his dedication to solve an issue....Originally posted by Prabhakar View PostU need to get them work in front of U.
You are not the only Hyd 220 owner whos getting good service at the PBK there, and thus I'm sure its the svc center thats actually doing a good job. I am actually considering riding down to Hyd to get my bike's issue(s) resolved if that does not happen with the existing PBK here in another months time.
Hey, this issue has been faced by a couple of others also. Do post a detailed resolution once its resolved.Originally posted by chilled_fire View PostBeen a long time since i posted any issues

The P220 lights are of 'H7' type and are 55W. Osram has a Night Breaker bulb which comes in the proper specs, you can thing about these bulbs if you want to change.
PS: 21 days are over dude, whats news update about your R1?
EDIT: Small update about my bike...
-Completed the 1000kms running and changed oil to Motul 5100T.
-After the replacement of the crank bearing the vibes had disappeared almost by 90% during the running in period.
-The vibes are again back by almost 50% after a short 500km ride yesterday.
-The mech had not tightened the oil cooler bolts and I was leaking oil through the ride yesterday.
Incidentally I had forgotten to carry my allen key set so I could tighten it.
-After 15K kms (mostly touring!), my bike is looking for change in clutch plates and chain sprocket set as both are showing signs of aging now.
-My low battery indicator issue decided to get nasty yesterday and decided that it will disappear only after I touch 100-110.
-Rear tyre seems to developed an invisible puncture, pressure is dropping down to almost 18-22 psi. Need to sit with a magnifying glass and a bucket of water to find out the exact spot of the puncture.
Zapper Vyde's are almost finished after 10.5K kms.
