For my bike it has shown it when it was really choked. Cleaning it is a simple DIY job or you could just head to the svc centre to get it done if you don't wanna get your hands dirty.

So its pretty good.
Bottom line : get ur air filter checked, if its clean then check the indicator at SC .Thanks buddies....Will get it checked at PBK.....Originally posted by prafultripathy View PostDon't assume it to be one of P220's nakhra's. Mine luckily has'nt thrown this tantrum yet.

Ideally if someone is touring or riding in harsh condition then he should get his air filter cleaned in every 1000km.
@Ani-Get your problem checked throughly and let us know whatever the PBK guys explains you as the problem and the solution for the same.

Top Speed!!
The information below is purely based on my experience. I dont intend to mention if someone's bike is malfuntioning.
When I ride at high speeds which I always do on highways I always do about 117 to 125 KMph in upstraight position ( Im talking about Kalyan highway ), to reach 130 to 135+ you positively need to crouch down and have some patience and keep the throttle maxed out. For all I know the bike does the speed if the road permits.

P.S. I have noticed the bike reaches 100 and plus faster on Zapper VYDE than what it used to do ZAPPER - C this could be coz the tyre is a rounder profile one. THIS COULD BE MY PERCEPTION THE INFORMATION NEEDS TO BE VERIFIED BY OTHER VYDE USERS.

tomo my bike goes to service center again.. last time while working on the cone set the guy removed my bike's front wheels and screwed the speedo sensor ... so these days im doin 168KMph
... also when braking a little hard the front fork makes this click sound and I feel the strong vibe of that click sound on the handle.. So i spoke to the works manager and told him that these problem started after I got the coneset done from here.
Now he is doin the repair job for free and said the speedo cable is included in warranty so will replace it for free.sigpic

Different people have had different results with different fuelsOriginally posted by M@n()J View PostGuys, is it advisable to use Speed or Extra Premium???I did a tank up of speed yesterday and i feel the bike is more smooth now. This is the first time I am using this in my bike.
I used Speed 97 from day one and I could not think of any other fuel...but with a trip planned to some place where there is no Speed 97 available, it was necessary for me to identify the next best brew...and I tried Shell 91...The difference in price is whopping but in performance is unnoticeable. With Shell, the bike sounds, feels and performs very nice.
Chilled_Fire is another Shell user and he is satisfied with it too.
Chetan_Pulsar uses xTraPremium/Speed and his bike runs well.
NitroSatya uses Speed and sometimes some other fuel.
From what I have noticed (user feedback)
Power: There is an immediate and noticeable improvement in performance but the engine sounds rough.
Speed: The bike runs smoother but also runs a bit hot (No idea why)
xTraPremium: Bike runs smooth, no improvement in performance.
Shell 91: Bike runs smooth, performance stays the same.
Speed 97: Coolest fuel...also costliest @Rs. 70/lit. Bike runs cool, performs better.
One small part that you may need to look at is the CO setting. The CO setting is different with different fuels and you may need to reset the CO (at least I had to when I switched from Speed 97 to 91).Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.

You must feel the difference, coz the Zapper-C's that you were previously using wears out over a period of time that leads to changes in the profile. So actually speaking, there would'nt be much of a difference in contact patch/profile between a new Zapper-C and Zapper-Vyde.Originally posted by mitesh_singh View PostP.S. Well if there is any change, will post here....coz I'm going for my first tyre replacement, and putting Vyde in the rear.
Like NV said, different bike....different results. Try out each fuel for about 2-3 tankfulls and then decide. And when trying out a particular brand of fuel, use the same bunk only otherwise results can vary wildly.Originally posted by M@n()J View PostGuys, is it advisable to use Speed or Extra Premium???I did a tank up of speed yesterday and i feel the bike is more smooth now. This is the first time I am using this in my bike.Last edited by Praful; 12-15-2008, 12:38 PM._________________________
