Arrey you should have sent me a PM for this.Originally posted by chetanpulsar View PostOk ok... btw I still have this issue of the handle oscillating continuously.... while at 60-80kmph.. the bike swings left then right then left..... some cone set issue.... but cant find the exact reason.... this also happens on sudden breaking... any idea whats the issue...
Btw, before you check either of cone set/steering races, have a look at your front tyre. Just maybe, the tyre beading against the rim would have slipped inwards while going over some random pothole when your front tyre had low pressure. If it has slipped the tyre profile would have changed and thereby causing funny handling. I had this issue once.!_________________________

Yes,have tryd it many times on Bombay road here where there is enough long strch so runing out of road is not the thing... All the fuel ,air filter has been chngd at regular intervals, I Personally too think that tuning is the kulprit,Cause I felt that it is stucking somewat at 8000 rpm. and can u believe guys THERS ONLY 1 SERVICE CENTRE IN KOLKATA FOR 220 AND THAIR CO/TUNING MECHINE IS NOT WORKING FOR LAST 8 MONTHS!!! Bjaj service really below avrgOriginally posted by sudipta_roy View PostMy bike has done 11000 km but have never gone beyond 118/120 km/hr(single rider 72 kg) what could be the problem? I must say the acceleration is very good and it reaches on those speeds really fast but dats all it stays there.
1)Have done Runing in properly
2)Using Motul 15w50 with NGK's scince 5000km
3)Repeatdly co tuning has been done but till no result.
4)In every service have changed the airfilter.
5)Changed the D-clutch switch with solinoid
The service centre guys have no idea how to solve the problem !!! plz help
ps- No speedo error cause other 220's can overtake me easily while am on my top speed.

PS- Upto how many rpm should 220 go on 5th at a good tuning?
Wat should be the co value shall I ask them to set? (If that damm co mechine comes alive some day!!)

Yeah it was engine malfunction light.....& bike didn't switch off....I drove for few meters then switched off the bike for few minutes...when I started it again...the light didn't glow....but it comes immediately when I rev the bike hard....Originally posted by prafultripathy View PostAre you sure it was the engine malfunction light? No offense but some people confuse the over-rev indicator with the engine malfunction light, so just confirming.
Did the bike switch off after the indicator came on?
And if it really is the engine malfunction light, then you need to head to your nearest PBK and tell them about it. They will plug in the diagnostic tool and check which sensor triggered it.

Boss was the light coming on the tachometer?Originally posted by BeastRider View PostYeah it was engine malfunction light.....& bike didn't switch off....I drove for few meters then switched off the bike for few minutes...when I again started it...the light didn't glow....but it comes immediately when I rev the bike hard....
Or was the light coming under the speedo display?
I am assuming that you are talking about the light in the tacho!!!
Thats the over-rev indicator...comes on when you cross 9K rpm (not sure about exact rpm)....don't worry about it. It just means that you and your bike are having a great time!
If you engine malfunction light comes on (which the right most light under the speedo display) the engine cuts off!Last edited by Praful; 12-11-2008, 07:04 PM._________________________

Well...where do you stay in kolkata?
Have you ever tested it on Rajarhat road?Crouch guys crouch. Speedo will jump once you start crouching. 120@9k is fine. I think most of get around the same in that rpm.Originally posted by A_n_i View PostEven i have this problem. My 220 does 93kmph @ 7k rpm and 120kmph @9k rpm. Sometimes it will get stuck there no matter how much you try or will go upto 125kmph max.DoN\'t LivE tO DiE, dIe tO LiVe

Theres one engine malfunction 'indicator' on the top level display on the digi-meter.....and theres the over-rev/fuel-low indicator that glows in the tacho which 'glows' in red.Originally posted by BeastRider View Post

Its not about you not knowing abt the bike man.... its just that we are not able to make out from ur words.
Which one are you talking about.... Is it on the digi-meter (indicator) or the tacho-meter light (glows in red) ?
Btw... the tacho-meter light is not the engine malfunction light AFAIK.
No offence dude ok.
@Pranay: Crouching will surely help.... sitting upstraight will resist air and will the bike wont go past 125kmph.... but am sure A_n_i must have tried crouching.
@A_n_i: you should seriously try changing ur 220's fuel filter (if u haven't changed it just now), coz on my last goa ride... the bike refused to go past 100kmph.... got the fuel filter changed at kolhapur... and then the bike started flying .... same happened with my pal...Last edited by chetanpulsar; 12-11-2008, 08:29 PM.Chetan

@BeastRider: most of wat chetan mentioned is correct
plz find my coments below
chetan : Theres one engine malfunction 'indicator' on the top level display on the digi-meter
Me : aree bhai , upar koi engine malfunction ind nahin hai.
There are four indicators at top of speedo :
1. Air filter element choked
2. high engine temp (which i think chetan is refferen to)
3. low battery
4. low oil level
chetan : and theres the over-rev/fuel-low indicator that glows in the tacho which 'glows' in red
Me : correct
chetan : the tacho-meter light is not the engine malfunction light
ME : correct
Congratulations chetan u got 2/3 correct .
Now from the post of Beastrider, i think hes talkin about the malfuction Indicator light which is ON when ignition is on and goes OFF when the engine is started.
Now, If this light remains ON even after engine is started then u have got problem dude. run to PBK SC
Aprilia RS 125 or Honda CB400 Vtec ..... which one will it be ??? I think its gonna be NINJA ZX 6R :-)

Boss, tum toh khamokha bura maan jaa rahe ho. From your words its not very clear what you wanted to say exactly. My bad, I should have tried to read between the lines. Anyways, if the engine malfunction light comes on the bike should cut-off. I know this coz for the first 5K kms I had a sensor issue, the bike would cut-off if I went over 120kmph. Anyways, combining on what Chetan & Chilled have said, here's a pic of what I've been wanting to find out.Originally posted by BeastRider View Post

@Beastrider-It seems like a simple case of loose connection. But to be very sure get your bike checked.
@Ani/Sudipta-There might be a case that your bike is running too rich.Get it checked. If that's not the case then I will post the next step.
If the CO machine is not working then you guys can register a complain about your PBK at the All India Toll Free No.(Somebody please post it or I will search it and post it by tomorrow evening).
