IMO, ZMA fi etc is still just a "rumor" there is no concrete news about it. And whatever news thats coming through are hinting that its still a good 5-6 months away. If you can wait that long then well and good, else go for whats available right now.

I was in exactly the same dilemma you are 2 years back.....2 test rides changed it all!

Diffuser, Chances of a bike from HH before Diwali is very high. I cannot say it is ZMR, but something would come. Better wait till Diwali. If no new Zma by that time, you can take a call after that.

My guess is,
1. The bike in the recent scoop video has a proper number plate, means the bike has undergone homologation.
2. As per a friend of Spiderweb, who works in ad agency, the ad for new Zma has been completed.

In view of above, I do not see any reason why HH should wait till another 4-5 months to release the bike. If it is, they would obviously lose some good amount of customers to R15 or P220.

Champion's Trohy is sponsered by HH, and if they release the new Zma by that time, it would get huge popularity and the bike reaches every corner of the country in less time. It is highly probable that they may launch the bike in a month. Champions Trophy is next month.

A karizma with Fi is a better deal than the carbed one..but then it all comes down to the launch date of the Fi variant..

So I picked a Karizma now. Its my 5th bike in my list now. It will share the space with my other bikes, my R15, Fiero 200, Fiero 165 and RTR 160.
I have been working on this bike for the last 3 years and was owned previously our own xbhp member Kushanth. When he decided to sell, I made an offer.
The engine is one of its kind and I have a lot of work already planned. The engine will be worked radically for the upcoming Hyderabad drag in the next 3 weeks.
The bike currently produces over 24bhp with its 223cc mill and does 0-100 in under 9 secs with its 135kilo mass.
Currently running stock CDI and stock gearing and gearbox.
Works planned are,
Programmable digital ignition - Custom maps and custom set-up
My in-house fabricated 245cc big-bore (I'm already working on the set-up)
33mm Mikuni Flatslide CV carb off the BMW F650 twin port set-up
Further cylinder head modifications with revised port profiles
custom fabricated crankcase breather system
A new tuned exhaust
Revised gearing
Rear suspension set-up change
Stiffer front suspension with lowered front
Custom brake rotor + caliper for better stopping power
17" wheels front and rear (a little later) with racing rubber
Revised seating and handling geometry
Steering damper and a lot more.

We are soooo divided on the launch date, and I am feeling so limbless without a ride, I might actually go for a ZMA this month end. Auspicious date has been fixed at 28th May by mom, else would have got it much earlier. Much hopes would be on a launch at Champion's trophy though.

not to forget,the new roadies season will start soon and my guess is the bike will be launched before it starts so that they can feature the new ZMR in this season of the show...

I sold My Zen last year and picked 2 bikes . A brand new RTR and an R15.

@rachitkohli - I have been working on this karizma since 2006. It runs a custom profile ground hi-fi Race camshaft, custom springs with inhouse machined retainers, reprofiled port geometry, custom runner length, hand fabricated mehaphonic exhaust and a few more bits. The bike already is in a high state of tune. I have won 2 national hill climb and 1 national level drag event on this machine. Its quite encouraging to take the karizma to some next levels since I have been planning since a long time now.

They could even launch the bike withthe commencement of MTV Roadies 7 (Africa)..quite probable.

Guys finally booked a yellow ZMA today!! Will be taking delivery on 21st :-) Prakash Motors Bangalore . Cost 84799. Now the concern I have is with the alarm key lock thing. When u press teh key to lock it does a beep sound and then a stupid female voice says "Key locked or something like that" and then when u unlock it says "lock opened". They have included this in that MRP. What do I do? I dont like that female voice thing.

Congrats !!Please cross check OTR price at some other dealer(and toll free too), this gadget is pulled into your bill to make his margin higher.
Weigh pros and cons of this system and then decide if you really need it. I would have refused this thing and saved ~2K for some riding gear ??

+1 . Out of the 5 years I had my Karizma, ran 4 years witha 60/55W and 1 year with a 100/90W bulb , though didn't do long night rides. Never had a discharged battery , OE AMCO-Yuasa battery lasted 4+ years, then bought 2nd AMCO-Yuasa for INR 1400 which did duty without issues until I sold the bike last year.

Just keep the battery in shape and don't overload it , all will be fine.

Folks, need a bit insight!

I've been using ZMA since last 1 year. My friends have been asking me since long regarding the typical "zchk zchk zchk zchk zchk zchk" (I hope you are getting what I'm trying to say ) patented sound from ZMA!! Undoubtedly this happens with every ZMA as I've observed it minutely.

Now can someone tell me what part exactly produces this sound? Is it chain-sprocket?
