The pictures are very poor and still I am unable to see the tip end clearly....the plug also seems to be having short thread ..is it because of the way you took pic., or is it short thread ? here is how the pic should be..

So, please please suggest me good pilot lamp (may be 55W) or more but should be fitted to original holder.
Osram Nightbreaker is a good choice ( albeit costly ) . Also there are 2 or 3 options from Philips which are not as costly . Even ordinary halogen 60/55 W which normally cost below 100/- (any make you recognize - just make sure they are original ) give far better spread and brightness than stock 35/35 W .

There are 3 options for posting a pic in the thread . 1st is to scroll down the page in which you are writing a post and click on 'manage attachments' button and add pic. See pic below.

2nd way is to post pic in tinypic as you have done but then add the link using the 'insert image ' option ( see the yellow box on the top when you type a post - just below the twin arrows which are shaped like a bull's horns) . See pic.

But in tinypic you have to prove every time that you're not a robot if you're not registered .

If you're registered at photobucket.com , then you're rid of that hassle and you can have all the pics you've posted at one place.

Great observation Sir. I thought it is for seat cover
I'm going to fix it properly.

They should also have fixed the Float bowl vent hose properly..if they had not done it,youwill have not so good low to mid performance...
Check for it as per picture from the gear side with side cover open...
Sir, when detached does it look like a pin point that is inserted into the carb? 'cause the mech. was finding it very hard to insert a cable to the carb I don't know what it is called, at first when he connected improperly some fuel leaked when engine was started and redlined in neutral; but then he fixed it up! I'll check and tighten it further if possible.
Recent Update: Today, with the old spark plug back into action, the bike was started as usual with the kick starter, left it idle for a minute, twisted the throttle few time and rolled on towards the highway... just after leaving the bike seemed to lag few initial acceleration in lower gears, like if I shift from first to second and turn the throttle to zoom past anything then initially it showed signs as if something is missing and there was a little phase difference between twisting the throttle and actual acceleration. Was it due to the very old spark plug? Or, was it due to the pipe you just said that "...Float bowl vent hose properly..if they had not done it,youwill have not so good low to mid performance" ?
The problem seemed to go away after a few kms fast ride on the highway.

You used hid in the stock reflector? Why dont you try projectors? And pilot lamps cant be of such higher wattage I guess 55W?
You can try some bulbs acs Sir recommended.
Additional suggestions: Philips Xtreme Vision 55/60W. costs Rs 600 a bulb; Philips Premium 55/60W. costs around Rs 300 a bulb.

Haha, that was not an info anyway. I hope I could have helped you by dispatching parts from here if I find them.

You have an account on gmail? Enter Picasa Web Albums, by searching in google. Then login with your gmail id/password. Upload images there. Then in Picasa only select on the pic that you want to upload on xBhp's post, then right click on the image and select "Copy Image Location" if you're using Firefox or similarly you've to just copy the location and then in the xBhp reply posting box, click on "insert image", an icon at the top icons list, then you'll be asked for the URL, just press CTRL+V (paste) and done! your Picasa image will be shown there.

            • @Sunny :- Tinypic.com looks much easier to me. All you'll need to do is upload the image enter the characters shown and once it is done, there is a link formulated especially for forums. You can just simply copy paste the link on the compose. No need to find attachement to upload etc. Hope this helps. As Aneesh pointed out, one may go through the tutorial on his signature and benefit.

BTW my bike is good now. And when they changed my spark plug to DPR7EA9 saying that DPR8EA9 is not available and I won't get it either now in the entire West Bengal I don't know how does it differ in performance etc.
And, this time I'm again using the same HH oil as I wanted to feel the difference properly so will switch to Motul in the next change, hoping there won't be any other problem in the engine/carb just like this one then only can comment on that oil.
Yes bhai , that's the kind of time you need to get them to budge their a** , for a 15 minutes job .... which I don't have and consequently have stopped visiting them altogether .
Check with Bansal Motors in wellington ( near Jyoti cinema hall ) for the correct plug (or any other part) . They are the authorised stockist for HeroHonda in West-Bengal circle and all the service centers gets all their parts from here only . SO if it is available in Bengal , they'll have it .
Which HH oil are they ( ASC ) using now , did you see the bottle ? (bpcl one or idemitsu or tide-water ?? )
No problem running on the HH 10w30 for this winter . But come March .. be sure to shift to 20w40 haan .

Alright Sir. I'll try tinypic.com next time. But I think deleting pics from tinypic will result in "invalid url" kinda error in xBhp's that particular post; but deleting in Picasa won't affect the pic here and it will be still here on the page unless you edit the post yourself. Have you tried this on tinypic?

Yes, I'll check that in the next visit to Wellington; or if they have not then I'm thinking of visiting the grand HH parts workshop on Durgapur expressway(RHS when going from Kol to Dgp) in the next highway ride. Hope you have seen it.
Sorry I didn't see the make of the HH oil(bpcl or tide-water etc)
Coming March? You mean after winters? But I was thinking of switching to and test the Motul 20w40 after 1500kms itself which I'll be covering in some 10-15 more days Will it be a prob during cold starts?

I'm using the links from my Picasa web albums to post pics here , works flawless .
No , I just go straight to Bansal for parts these days .. as I found out that the guy at my local ASC parts counters actually phone them only when I ask them for availability .
No , no problem with 20w40 even now .. I am running 20w40 motul fine in my old cbz-x presently . But I would advise you to run on the HH 10w30 for a bit longer .. say upto 5000+ Kms on a new engine . It may benefit from the quicker wear produced by the thinner oil . Try to get the tide-water made HH oil .. it's available for 175 Rs ( I posted the location a few posts back here , check). It's a far better oil than the BPCL made one .. which they were using at the ASC last I saw .

Loose tappets is not a big problem, just get it adjusted from the SVC or by a good Local mech or by yourself. We had provided a good DIY on ZMAs tappet adjustment on the DIY section.
