I have vibrant blue color zma who's backside cowl has been broken. All the svc and spare part dealer don't have this color and they are saying they have ordered it from last 3 month but there is no availablity of this color and nobody is ready to paint another color into blue so is there any way that i can order it or any other way.

Look for stock bike without any mods..an engine without noise and SERVICE HISTORY...Engine, Frame, and Wheel should not have any problems...Originally posted by shubhamAT View PostLets see how things shape up. If placed on the crash guard , even though the spread will be more , the shadows will also be more . . so will the amount of light on the bike parts .
Looks don't matter that much to me ( unless they are really ugly - like a Bajaj auto H/L - no offense meant , it suits the auto perfectly , but doesn't suit my bike !!!
)
Dual aux on crash guard ( on either side ) would be awesome if they are 35W HID !!
The one real problem I see is that it has to suffer each and every bump/pothole on the road and on one of those imperfections it may choose to retire permanently !! That might be the defining moment !!

I'm on to the crash guard first - once I get it to my liking I may turn to aux lamps - most probably on the crash guard itself ...
Okay, personal opinions but I'd have never gone for any used vehicle. You could have tried nearby cities or pinging Zonal manager. Anyway, all the best.Originally posted by shubhamAT View PostThey were procrastinating and were themselves not sure when they can deliver. In fact they said they had 71 ZMA booking of which only 10 could be delivered so far. Also commuting by Car is really a pain so i decided to get the money back. If you see had they been in position to deliver in a reasonable time they would not have adviced me to cancel the booking and get full refund.
That said my ZMA hunt is still on. The plus side of owning a pre-owned will be getting to the Streetfighter look earlier plus other possible mods :-).

Will it void warranty if I play with these parts?Originally posted by psr View PostWhy let petrol drain to the floor ? if you had caught the petrol in a transparent bottle you can see by the color if it is adulterated or not....a Red color is pure petrol while a yellowish tinge is due to Diesel /Kerosene adulteration.engine not accelerating beyond 5 K RPM may be due to adulterated petrol or throttle slide stuck.
If your bike is in warranty get the carb replaced,do not tamper with it, if not ,....remove the right side(kicker side) cover,and loosen the ring on the rubber hose from the air filter ,.on the carb inlet..push the rubber hose to one side and you can see the slide...put your fore finger and check if the slide is stuck...if it is then GENTLY push it up and it will get released and your bike will be normal..
The RED marked screw should be loosened to release the rubber hose to move it aside...
Once you move the rubber hose aside you will see the slide in the carb like this..
place your forefinger under the slide and lift it..this will remove jamming and bike will be ok...
Sir, can I try this before I take my bike to the SVC tomorrow? Please say YES! I want to see these things and want to feel what experiment results.

Yes it will void warranty , but if you know how to do it properly ,they can't find out that you have done it...because you are going to loosen the hose clip and move the rubber hose sideways and then with your finger lift the slide to release the jamming.Afterwards you must carefully put the hose back and tighten the clip....sounds simple,..... but you must do it with care ..otherwise you may damage the hose, ...so pay attention and do not get distracted...Have bright light to help you and do not use excess force.USE PROPER TOOLS...a good STAR HEAD SCREW DRIVER IS ALL YOU REQUIRE...Originally posted by sunny_ View PostWill it void warranty if I play with these parts?

That's what I think too - if the aux is at the outer end of the guard then it'll be OK . Do you know of any set up that lets you have an H4 in an aux . And the size shouldn't be that much . I already have a dual relay and I'd like to make full use of itOriginally posted by on wheels View PostSir, I have tried to fix the aux lamps of different shapes on several positions on my Karizma. In most of the places, I have seen that the light beam is getting obstacted (at least 25%) by the body parts. Only on crash guard I have got a good beam with very less obstacle.

Tide-water(veedol) is in collaboration with nippon oil , japan , to make oils for both HeroHonda(heromoto) & Honda . The oils are very good . I got 3 bottles of the 10w30 HH oil made by them for very cheap (400Rs total) from a distributor friend , so I am experimenting with the oil in my splendor for this winter only. Although it's just run about 100Kms now , I can already say it is a much much better oil than the BPCL one . After this I'll try the last bottle of gulf 10w30 I have, and make a fair comparison . Saw that 20w40 Honda oil in my shop , and it was relatively cheaper too ... let us see how it goes for you from 1000-2000kms in the big Kari engineOriginally posted by psr View PostThere is a 20w40 HONDA mineral oil made by same Tide water oil Co., which I had started using in my Karizma now...The oil is only 250Kms old so no long term report possible..but what I found was initially the oil was like Gulf Pride20w40,and was soft,but now it has grunt and accelerates fast..will see how it works after 1 K Kms .

@psr sir
i need your help, my friend has ZMA 09 and has clocked 8000kms . Recently he washed his bike and went for 3kms ride and the bike was ok,after which the bike was untouched for 3days, now the bike is refusing to start . what might be the problem??
has water entered CDI ?? or in carb??

Loose contact in Ignition switch,and may be water in petrol...Spray WD40 /Zorrick into the ignition switch and operate it a few times....Open the carb,float bowl bleed screw and drain out the old petrol and look for contamination,including water....Originally posted by selvin rebz View Post@psr sir

Check for loose contact in CDI connector,by shaking it a bit....
Apply 50% choke and try starting
I hope you have enough Petrol in tank to start..

Sure, will call up contacts from Sulekha on weekend. Once i get the bike i plan to get the following done immediately (at a ASC):Originally posted by psr View PostLook for stock bike without any mods..an engine without noise and SERVICE HISTORY...Engine, Frame, and Wheel should not have any problems...
1. Full Oil change. Will stick to 10w30 for now. I plan to change this oil every 1000KM.
2. Oil Filter cleaning
3. Air filter replace/clean
4. Spark plug change.
5. Chain adjustment (if needed) and lubrication.
6. Disc brake oil top-up.
Is there anything else i need to do ?
Also, when taking the delivery of the bike, can i drive it with buyers name on the RC till the time ownership is changed ? What about insurance, can i take a fresh insurance on the bike (even if the one done by prev owner has not expired), i guess RC book should have my name to get the insurance done.
Will be going to AASI office this Saturday to clarify these things, but any inputs from experts here are more than welcome.
