well me to driving the bike with the first owner name on the rc that not an issue until u have a claim if stolen or damaged which u wont be able to ,only if the seller i mean the owner help u out claiming for you on your behalf ,so the possibility is 50-50Originally posted by shubhamAT View PostSure, will call up contacts from Sulekha on weekend. Once i get the bike i plan to get the following done immediately (at a ASC):
1. Full Oil change. Will stick to 10w30 for now. I plan to change this oil every 1000KM.
2. Oil Filter cleaning
3. Air filter replace/clean
4. Spark plug change.
5. Chain adjustment (if needed) and lubrication.
6. Disc brake oil top-up.
Is there anything else i need to do ?
Also, when taking the delivery of the bike, can i drive it with buyers name on the RC till the time ownership is changed ? What about insurance, can i take a fresh insurance on the bike (even if the one done by prev owner has not expired), i guess RC book should have my name to get the insurance done.
Will be going to AASI office this Saturday to clarify these things, but any inputs from experts here are more than welcome.
As far as insurance and changing name is concerned get in touch with a good agent it will cost u a total of 3000-3500 as when I inquired about it as getting it done officially is a pain in ass as these people will take enough time so I believe getting it done by a good agent costing 500 more wont be an issue for you getting you out of those hassleLast edited by shhbz; 11-03-2011, 10:39 PM.

I see few during my rides. Hope you get it asap.Originally posted by Akshaysharma View Post@sunny
Nobody is ready to paint it and just for my knowledge i want to know does any one here in xbhp has blue zma or anyone see blue zma in there city and if any one has blue zma does u also face same problem.
Thanks Sir. After spending 13 hours at the SVC, I learned how to change the choke cableOriginally posted by psr View PostYes it will void warranty , but if you know how to do it properly ,they can't find out that you have done it...because you are going to loosen the hose clip and move the rubber hose sideways and then with your finger lift the slide to release the jamming.Afterwards you must carefully put the hose back and tighten the clip....sounds simple,..... but you must do it with care ..otherwise you may damage the hose, ...so pay attention and do not get distracted...Have bright light to help you and do not use excess force.USE PROPER TOOLS...a good STAR HEAD SCREW DRIVER IS ALL YOU REQUIRE...
BTW my bike is good now. And when they changed my spark plug to DPR7EA9 saying that DPR8EA9 is not available and I won't get it either now in the entire West Bengal
I don't know how does it differ in performance etc.
And, this time I'm again using the same HH oil as I wanted to feel the difference properly so will switch to Motul in the next change, hoping there won't be any other problem in the engine/carb just like this one then only can comment on that oil.

Your Air Filter is partially clogged, and when you take picture of spark plug it is the other ,"business" end of plug which is important..whatyou had posted shows that you had a spark plug in your bike, and nothing can be read from it regarding the health of engine ,& AFR.Originally posted by Akshaysharma View PostToday i changed the air filter and spark plug at svc the old one's pic are here and pls tell me did i needed to change it or it was ok i had changed this because i have passed 10k kms and also tell me by seeing spark plug that was the bike running lean.

Glad your bike is back to normal....DPR7EA-9 is a HOT plug meaning it will run hotter than DPR8EA-9...you can try Champion PRA 7 HC which is near equivalent. With DPR7EA do not exceed 80Kmph speed as you may have pre-ignition...(knocking)Originally posted by sunny_ View PostI see few during my rides. Better to change to NGK DPR8EA-9 and have peace of mind. When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

Hahaha, you pointed out the difference and when I showed my Bike's manual to them(including the manager) they said it doesn't matter DPR7 or DPR8, what matters is this(pointing me to the diagram in the manual), this difference should be 0.8-0.9 mm rest everything is sameOriginally posted by psr View PostGlad your bike is back to normal....DPR7EA-9 is a HOT plug meaning it will run hotter than DPR8EA-9...you can try Champion PRA 7 HC which is near equivalent. With DPR7EA do not exceed 80Kmph speed as you may have pre-ignition...(knocking)

Can pre-ignition(knocking) be felt while riding? 'cause I took it to 130 kph yesterday only, but couldn't feel anything. I'll check again today.
Okay Sir, then this spark plug will be "wasted", I'm going to use my same old plug 'cause the moment I was in doubt I asked them to return my old plug back too; asked them to cancel the new one and fit the old one back but they didn't agree and said "hum hai na, dont worry"
Also, DPR7 costed me Rs 67 only but I don't care now
I'll look for the Champion one if DPR8 is not found here, thanks.
Uploading some pics, and let me tell you I was so happy when I saw that throttle slide thing, really thank you from the bottom of my heart

Carb part opened up for choke cable replacement.

The tank fixing rubber will have a metal sleeve for the full tightening on the bolt, without squeezing the rubber...the rubber is supposed to be slightly tight and should act as cushion for the tank....Originally posted by sunny_ View PostI'll look for the Champion one if DPR8 is not found here, thanks.

In your bike the inner metal sleeve is not fixed leading to tank fixing rubber getting crushed...try to get this sorted out with a relevant part...

They should also have fixed the Float bowl vent hose properly..if they had not done it,youwill have not so good low to mid performance...
Check for it as per picture from the gear side with side cover open...

Engine Tuning
Guys, I had gone to HH service center for getting some engine tuning work done since it is not correct. (The rpm needle is not steady)
The idle sound varies. (at neutral it goes fast and then slows down again)
The tuning was changed by one of the mechs at the svc center.
When i told this to the mech at the svc center, he told me that perfect tuning is done when the bike comes from factory and should never be changed/modified in any way. If done then a new Carb is the best option..
Guys i do know thats not true..what I want to know is the perfect setting for tuning my ZMA..

Hello Friends,
I have a karizma R. i fitted a HID in place of stock one. The circuit of that damaged due to rain. then i fitted another HID and now the reflector is broken. i am done with these HID but can't live with the stock bulb.
So, please please suggest me good pilot lamp (may be 55W) or more but should be fitted to original holder.
