A few questions about my ZMA..
Guys have a few questions,
1.) If I ride the bike after around 2 days, the ride quality seems quite rough..is that normal?
2.) I replaced my ZMA's rear tyre with the IRC Duro Tour 310 (110/90). The tyre seemed to have good grip at first but then around 2 weeks back whenever I rode the bike, the rear tyre seemed to fish tail most of the time(even when i didnt use the brakes). I changed the air pressure from 32 psi to 30 psi, but still the same problem. Even the swing arm was checked by the mech at the service center, he said it was alright. So what other then that could be the problem?
3.) Any idea from where I can get HH engine oil by Idemitsu?...I checked at Lamington Road but didnt find it. The only HH engine oil available was by BP.
Please help..

How do you change the rear bulbs on ZMA? I tried removing the rear glass without success. I can't imagine why changing bulb should be so complicated. There are two small screws that fastens the glass, but uncrewing them still does not remove the glass. Also I tried removing the whole rare body panels. Still no success. Feeling pretty stupid. Will appreciate some guidance.

Pull, push, or sideways etc.?Originally posted by harish_zma View Posthi! even i hav faced same prob while opening tail lamp cover, but when i went in bikezone they opened it very easily. there are two hooks on upper side of the cover.

It is not complicated. Do not be so nice while pulling the rear glass, it is not a scooter or scooteretteOriginally posted by kaynmantis View PostHow do you change the rear bulbs on ZMA? . Remove the screws, take a screw driver (minus), insert between the top glass and rear cowl, push down and pull with force.

I said I'm "feeling pretty stupid" and I stand by it. Went to Service center. They removed the glass exactly as you mentioned down to using screw driver (minus)Originally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostIt is not complicated. . Anyway good thing, I went there as the problem was more than a change of bulbs. Bulbs were ok. It required adjustment for the rear brake light switch and the front switch needed replacing. Funny how both went wrong at the same time.
The switch costs 35. Asked them 'shouldn't the switch comes under warranty'? Yep, it does, they minus the 35 from my bill. Its funny why I need to remind them as they have the entire record of my bike and knows its still under warranty. Just *****ing
. Though to be fair, they were very nice and provided prompt service.

Plan changed...old ZMA now
Guys, digging for advice again.
Some family issues call me for reducing my expenditure for the next bike. I was on the lookout for a ZMA in good condition and not costing a bomb at the same time. Here's what I got. Please suggest whether its a good buy or not...
Make: Jan 2005
Odo: 45000 km
Mods(if you can call them as such):
Removed chain cover (new chainset needed
)
A lame horn, pointing to a lamer battery
Others:
Little wobble in the wheel when slowing down
Disc pads seemed worn out
Rattling fairing
Leaking fork seal
Clicking noise when idling (new timing chain req)
New rear tyre and clutch plates
The owner claims he was in Bangalore for two years and started driving the bike only recently since February this year. By the looks of it, the bike seems OK while it definitelty has been neglected on the maintanence front.
Finally, the price quoted is 39k, willing to negotiate as well. Do you thing I should go for this one, or wait and watch for a better one?
PS: My other preference is a Bullet
.
