Dude, To be simple it's the way to increase fuel to burn in accordance with the air intake that K&N provides. Re-jetting or Up-jetting is done in ur bikes carb by changing the pilot jet. and One has to be careful in choosing a jet cos if done wrong, it shall give you adverse effects.Originally posted by threat2myself1 View Posti din understand wat re-jetting is!!
how is it done???

Bent frame/chasis
Hi guys,
I had a fall recently (ghats+corner+sand on the road+noob rider
). Not much cosmetic damage except scratches on the headlight faring and a bent leg guard. But there is something wrong with the bike structurally. The handling is all crazy and when I look at the bike from the back, the rear wheel and forks look skewed compared to the rest of the bike. Not sure if it is just a misaligned wheel or a bent frame. Taking it to Bajaj tomorrow, but posting it here anyway because read about a few bent frame cases in this thread and the cost + time involved to get a frame fixed is worrying me. What is the possibility of the frame itself being bent? I fell at about 60 Kmph and did not crash into anything, just slid some distance and then banged into the road.
Another question, where can I find a p200 technical manual or something similar? The thing is the there are small problems that keep coming up, like the idle rpm becoming high (2-3k
), the air filter getting choked, the headlight's focus/direction is wrong, etc. These things sound like they can be fixed easily by adjusting a few nuts and bolts here and there, and I want to do them myself. But I this is my first bike and know very little about a bike's mechanisms (though learning a lot reading the xBHP forum
).
Thanks in advance.

thanx man!! btw what will be the proper jet size while using K&N for our bikes?? i wanted to put the free flow filters but back in the thread i read about this up jetting thing...din understand so i thought better not to changeOriginally posted by dual disc 200 View PostDude, To be simple it's the way to increase fuel to burn in accordance with the air intake that K&N provides. I just put Castrol Power 1 Racing (fully synth) in my Pulsar 200 y'day & def feel the diff for the better! The bike has almost changed its usual grunty character to that of a polished athlete !! Vibes have gone down by like 5 notches . My bike has done like 11.5 K so far & going strong !
But then suddenly i feel did i do wrong? 10W40 as against the recommented 20W50 !!?
Do i have to drain the it quickly due to lower rating ?? Pls help guys!!

10W50 is the specification for a thicker engine oil since it is fully synthetic, shouldn't cause much of a problem unless you exceed the manufacturer's 1300ml limit, it changes for each brand for Motul 300V Synth the spec is 15W50Originally posted by hells_kitchen View PostBut then suddenly i feel did i do wrong? 10W40 as against the recommented 20W50 !!?
Ok i'm all set to take a crack at this rich/lean mixture confusion again. So a Rich/Lean mixture is decided by which criteria? more/less of Air or Fuel? Yesterday alone there were two pairs contradictory posts, so i'm still a bit dazed

Ok so am i right now?? Actually that was what i intended on typing but during the vocab typo had confused everybodyOriginally posted by EL LOCO DIABLO View PostRe-jet is a must if you are going in for free flow filters, because the standard jets are just not enough to let in the excess of air taken in by the filter, therefore the fuel "AMOUNT" becomes excessively rich choking the bike and ..............................................I'm too intelligent to the unintended, and too dumb for the obvious.

Good that u've understood. I've put K&N RC1060 with 180(forgot which model, as i have a lots of jets , will confirm u on that) jets and it works fine. Although the stock jet size is 110, the jet which i used is 117.3 which is bigger and allows more fuel to pass thru thus keeping the air fuel mix ratio clean.

Where did you get a 117.3? It does'nt sound like a factory jet, A 180 jet!! that's humongous, what every time you twisted the throttle two bars from the fuel gauge drops?Originally posted by dual disc 200 View PostDude,

117.5 - that's the P180 Classic Jet, this bike had the biggest jet in the Pulsar series - remember that raw rush to the redline when we twisted the throttle?Originally posted by EL LOCO DIABLO View PostWhere did you get a 117.3? Except the R15 which I have not ridden, I found the old P180 Classic the best. Newer 180s does not cut it for me though! Dunno abt the latest UG IV though!Originally posted by EL LOCO DIABLO View Post^^ Whoa sweet, i didn't know that, BTW i'm still yet to drive a classic 180 or a CBZ, from what i heard these are supposed to be a good performersYour biking tells a lot about the person you are!
