can some one please tell me if i can get this seperately and if so what is the price.

SVC guys told that entire silencer needs to be replaced and its cost 6K ( damn expensive for 50K Scooter). Please advice.
Generally called Muffler-Cover(Heat-Shield) should be available separately, even those two mounting bolts. Get another opinion from another SVC nearby.

Write to Suzuki-India office on : Contact Us | Suzuki Motorcycle India Ltd. if every SVC claims the same(6k replacement). Share with them the SVC's name you visited for the inquiry.

PS: I don't have spares-manual for Indian version of UZ-125, but foreign variants from same engine are available over the internet. All list Muffler-Cover separately.

Recently I have bought a used Swish (2012 model, 14K run). Since I am going to use this vehicle purely for running errands I don't want to spend on a new vehicle. Hence this decision. Bought in chennai for 26.5K. This is will be my first experience with a scooter. I basically wanted to know how to increase the mileage out of it? Is there any thing specifically that can be done for swish?

          1. Check Air pressure in tyres.
          2. Always go to trusted fuel station.
          3. Don't tight the brake too much
          4. Engine tuning. Ensure it with service center guy or local mechanic.
          5. Drive the vehicle between 40km-50km
          6. Important! Get your bike serviced on regular intervals.
          7. Clean Spark plug and Stock Airfilter.
          8. Always accelerate gradually

1)rear tyre to ceat zoom D (tubeless)(2050k kms mark)

2)front speedo meter cable(12k kms mark)

            3)rear break light

            4)battery to amaron dry(15k)

5)head light seems dim so ordered OSARAM SILVER HS1 35W(today)

6)rear break to some after market

i ordered sprocket wrench kit for DIY Oil change

            issues::::::::

            1)poor mileage in intitial days

            2) Messed with a carburetor

56 kmpl is impressive given the rough roads you mention. Remember, one time mileage calculation is always error prone. Do them regularly, and consecutively. My 4 year old Dio gives me on average 41 kmpl with 300 kms per month ride.

Hope it's niggle free, few on GS150R forum reported air-leakage when a tubeless was fit on the rim designed for tube-type.

Someone has to shed some light on how to lube this rotating cable. During every service they put some Li-based grease at both ends.

Stay with the halogens, yellowish tint(less than 4000K temp). Yellow is good for dirt/bad roads.

Funny thing about this is, my Dio is nearing 18K kms on ODO, and rear-brake-pad is on service-limit. But, the braking is better than before, hence still using it since 1500 kms.

Should be one of the easiest DIY. Check owner's manual for more instructions.

I suspect one of the fork-spring has give up, or the oil seals have broken. Worst case, fork is deformed/bent due to rough roads.

Explain the play in rear wheel in more words.

If the front is wobbling then it's most certainly cone-set(ball-racers) gone bad.

mechanic did...the coconut oil pouring..ceat zoom D was okay till now filled nitrogen and tyre holds nice grip on bad roads searched for mrf zappers but bad luck i didnt got so went with ceat costed me 1150 and i was having doubt about the compitabilty but rim was its perfect no air leakage till today i guess nitrogen is best as rear wheel gets exposed to heat from exhust and engine...2k kms back did a mileage test with mechanic now its giving around 50kmpl im city and mixed driving ..butter smooth at 60kmph after crossing 50kmph its kinda turbo kick feeling but crossing 10-30kmph speed range bike makes bit stress noise ...osarm silver star is normal light as stock in terms of colour temp (i hope.not sure imho)but has extra lumens...actullally planned to swap with my gixxer stock osarm to swish and new osarm to gixxer !!but dad needs good vision than me so im not gonna do that...once i get the aiwa 40pc tool kit im gonna open the front part to figure out the handle issue ..my last pair tyres got un evenwear and front suspension not that great (changed fork oil mechanic said need foundry work!!!)its better for me to figure out showroom will cost a lot for out side foundry work

                ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

as scooter reached 20k mark i see parts getting kaput ..it has been 3years and less used carefully driven scooter ...now indicater switches wont turn on...perfect !!!any body changed the gear oil??DIY??how to check clutch plates play?!!!mechanic said last time due to clutch plates issue scooter was making much noise than its

I would rather urge you to change the fork if it's deformed or fall out of service specs.

Dust might have did its work with the switches, same case with my Dio. It has been hard to switch between high & low beam.

You can find some videos on youtube about generic scooters' clutch, engine DIY work.

A search "Scooter clutch bell" several results on YouTube:

                  This one is shared frequently:

Since Swish has same engine as Access, you might also like this:

I urge you to get fork & clutch work done from the SVC if you feel less confident with DIY.

But how could he suggest coconut oil?

Scooters, scooter help, scooter projects, mopeds and more. I do a lot of tuning, testing and custom fabrication work. Installing big bore kits, crankshafts, ignition systems, exhausts, carburetor tuning, CVT tuning... you name it. I make detailed how-to videos and info videos as well as project videos and some riding videos.

Browse through this guys videos, he has worked on scooters. He packs so much info in his videos that might take days for us to pick up from reading from forum posts.

Engine & Gear oil change: I understand size, place and parts will be different but there are important tips.

Their mechanic told it has lot of engine isue like crank's gone piston need replacemnet etc and quoted 12000 inr for repair. Then visited my local mechnic who works on my r15 trusted one. He said their's no crank noise, no smoke coming from exhaust, engine oil is at good level. M very confused what's happening. So need help. Scooter hs done 18000 km. M Please suggest.

indeed, 25k km is too less of a mileage to have such issues. but does happen once in a while and you were plain unlucky (unless the maintenance/oil changes were neglected in the past)

sometimes replacing just the valve kit (maybe the piston + rings std size if needed) might solve your issue. it could be busted valve seals that are causing oil to enter the combustion chamber and hence the smoke and poor performance. some mechanics will simply ask you to go for a rebore or new bore kit along with the the valve job.

thank you for your kind reply bro...engine oil was fully dried up within the period i went to SVC today and mechanic told me the same thing as you said.. he refilled the engine oil and told me to use scooter till monday ..and asked me to check the engine oil level in early morning and bring back the scooter to SVC . he said it will take 2-3days to open the engine and all the work done ..he gave me two causes from his expectations 1) piston need to be replaced it will cost 700 around and 2)bore ..its gonna cost 3k...but im having doubt is this a major problem?? do my scooter will have same performance as it was after making all the repairs done???
