At one point, the dipper light switch reversed, with the dipper position causing a high beam and an upper giving me a low beam. For your information, Suzuki service is bad in Chennai. Check whether the service is good or bad around your locality before purchasing a suzuki

Brother - I am personally not going to recommend you TVS scooter due to my bad experience with Scooty Pep+. I recommend only 2 scooters to you. I am also not recommending Honda due to their attitude towards customer.

      a) Suzuki Access 125 with all the frills including Disc Brake - Good performance, spacious and decently comfortable, mileage ok, maintenance hassles not too bad
      b) Aprilia SR 150 - Most distinctive scooter of all in India till now! Not very practical and not too spacious - but man, if you will ride mostly single seat or at the most with pillion but never with 3 people and you don't specifically look for ability to carry gas cylinder on scooter etc - then there is absolutely nothing better than Aprilia SR 150. It is a revolution in world of scooters available in India - nothing less! What Yamaha RX100 was once upon a time in motorcycles, this is in scooters today - I have test ridden it and it is unlike any other. Awesome looks, best performance in the segment and amazingly premium brand at an affordable price - You otherwise can never dream of getting any vehicle with Aprilia brand on it unless you are a super rich guy!!

Access also has quite bunch of features too.
a solid work horse kind engine you are looking for?
STILL No other option than Suzuki scooters in scooter flooded Indian Market .
The way Access pulls everytime you twist the throttle is
simply effortless compared to other scooters, never feels strain.

Acceleration figures are on par with Aprilia SR150, may be quicker to 60kmph than SR.

Engine is the highlight of SUZUKI scooters in India, the best in the business.

      Cheers!
Not sure if Access is quicker than Aprilia - that is a bit of stretch - but except Aprilia, Suzuki Access is surely the best..Access is better than Aprilia as a more practical choice but for enthusiast who is young or young at heart (or a girl who considers herself nothing less than men when it comes to riding ) there is nothing better than Aprilia (for girls though, anyone with height below 5 ft 4 in it would be a struggle to ride it. My wife is 5 ft 4 in and she is able to ride Aprilia with no trouble and she can take it on main stand also with no issues - but she denied me from buying Aprilia SR 150 and chose Access!!!!! I was sad about that but Access otherwise is very good on its own.).

You will start loving access when it gives almost 15-20km more average and a good 300-500 RS less while serving.
Mine is still brand new and has just clocked 120km so I can not be sure about the mileage but as per the bars I have calculated it to be above 60 my 1st bar vanished when I touched 68km and while I have clocked 120km I am having 4 bars. Handling is great haven't hit that hard in corners as the tyres are still new 😋 but the test ride vehicle I tested clocked 95km with ease on the straight road(could have done tripel degits but the road ended&#128514. In performance access might be slightly slow but Aprilia is around 20kg heavy then Access hence looses a lil performance I guess. For the price of Aprilia you can get a 150cc bike 😂. Aprilia is a brand that everyone wants to own and that's the only reason one should buy it according to me

I have done 4000+ kms on my All New Access and serviced here thrice as per the schedule. As I have shared earlier, I am in love with the scooter, but things are going down south from the first servicing on wards. Before first service the scoot returned me impressive mileage figures of 51 kmpl, I was really blown away, and hoped it will only increase after first service, but to my surprise, the mileage dropped to 35 kmpl after first service. When I wen there for the second service I mentioned the same, and they decreased the initial RPM, which caused the scoot to halt whenever I slowed down, then took her to the service center to get the problem solved, they increased the rpm and the problem solved for few days. But after few days, the scoot started to shut off at the traffic signals when I gave her some gas, or whenever I rode over speedbrakers, meanwhile she was still returning the mileage of 35 only.

And I observed one more thing, the speedo wasn't showing the correct speeds, its difficult to explain but it reacts a little late to acceleration and deceleration, when you start her up normally the indicator does a full swipe, but mine was doing so with a jerk after taking a little time. Then again when you accelerate it wont show you the speed immediately as it used to, it will take all the time in the world to reach there, and if you decelerate, it will stay at the previous speed for couple of seconds then it will come down.

I took her to the ASC yesterday for the third service, explained the problem in detail to the SA and he noted the same in job card, I have also told him about the mileage and halting issues, to which he suggested they might need to replace the spark plug and adapter, to which I asked him, a spark plug change at 4000 kms? He then changed his quote and said, we will inspect it and clean it, I told him, if it is really at fault then they should change it, to which he agreed, there were couple of more issues that I have mentioned which were duly noted in the job card. My scoot was in queue and there were few more to be serviced before mine. But in couple of hours I got a call from the ASC stating that the scoot is serviced, to which I asked them, did they really attended all the problems I have mentioned, and I was assured 2 service persons attended my scoot and all the problems were solved.

When I went there to collect the scoot, the speedo was still the same, doing the same thing, which I pointed out to the SA, the first answer was it is like that only (ye aise hi rahega), when I said I wasn't going to accept such answers, and spoke about it with the service manager(?), he called upon the guy who did the job and inquired about it, he took my scoot for a test ride and 'confirmed' there was a problem with the speed sensor which needs to be replaced, I asked them what they did with the scoot in the hours, they have not even attended to the problem which was mentioned in the job card, they were literally blaming each other for the issue. When I asked about the resolution, they called one more guy who took it for a spin (a third test ride at this point), this time a longer one, which lasted up to 10-12 minutes, and came back just to inform there was a problem with the sensor and needs to be replaced, at this point I was frustrated and asked to replace the item, to which he answered a person from Suzuki will come to the ASC in near future and he will inspect the problem and he only can authorize the replacement, they further added that they didn't have the sensor in stock. At this point I have observed that, the front mudguard was dancing like crazy, and pointed this to them, they took the scoot inside one more time, and removed the front tyre to fix the issues, the bolt was missing! When I asked about this, the answer was it was not written in the job card, as if they have attended everything that was written in it!

Even at this point, there was no information from the ASC guys about the faulty sensor, I was asked to approach one guy, with whom I have already interacted, and who failed to give any clarity on this issue, when I spoke to him and told him that I need a resolution to the problem, he got offended and stated he was not a thief and he wasn't running anyway. He just gave me his number and gave a vague statement that, around 15th of this month I will get a call from them.

I still believe Suzuki Access 125 is a good product, but when there are issues, Suzuki needs to provide solutions for the same, it's not just a dissatisfied customer, but they will be earning bad reputation. I just hope that Suzuki's ASS will not go in Honda's direction, down south!

              Hi Guys,

I am planning to buy a scooty. Previously i had a CBR 250 Abs recently sold that off. I am planning for a car in distant future and will buy a scooty for daily chores and office.
I am not sure with Activa as i think that cost to benefit is not quite there for Activa 125cc. I had zeroed in on Suzuki Access 125. I had taken a Test Ride in Suzuki Wagholi Pune showroom. The experience with the product was pretty nice. I want to buy the Disc brake option. But the brakes lacked feedback (may be on the back of my mind i still compare it with my CBR which is wrong) but yes way better than the drum. The acceleration and the handling were quite nice. Now coming to a CVT Engine its my first time. So what are the precautions to be taken. Also i am a little pessimistic about the After sales service of Suzuki. How is the Wagholi Showroom in Pune? Does anyone have any experience? They seemed very cold to their customer and have a know it all attitude which i am scared of.. All suggestion are welcome. also if the members could guide me to a page no where these thing has already been discussed i can read it out by my own. Thanks for all your help.

I honestly think the 125 doesn't really provide any great advantage over the 110cc Honda's for city chores. I'd say stick to the regular activa or the access if you prefer that. But hey, If you like the 125 go for it. Getting spares for the suzuki's by yourself if you want to diy or use a local mechanic used to be a pain with most svc's not selling spares over the counter.. not sure if the situation has changed now. As for honda spares, they are available in the market and some svc's do sell them over the counter (if not shoot an email to honda and the svc will immediately oblige)
The one precaution you need to take with the cvt motors is to NOT accelerate and brake at the same time (i.e. keeping the throttle open and engaging brakes at same time). That will chew/burn up the clutch shoes.
Apart from that just the regular maintenance.
As for customer service.. it is non existent at most dealers/service centers irrespective of brand. Try building a rapport with the mechanic/service advisor and it might help you in getting a better treatment for your ride.

That's pretty bad but if such cases happen you can try changing the ASC or in some case take the advice of a local mechanic and get it done from ASC or local mechanic if that doesn't void your warranty and next time when you give for service insist them to do it in your presence. Mileage depends on the riding conditions, air filter, engine oil condition, Tyre pressure and lubing of the moving parts rather than playing with the rpm. I had a pretty bad time with my car when I unknowingly handed over to the wrong mechanic he just kept changing air filter, oil, spark plugs etc every time and looted our money until I showed the new mechanic so treat your vehicle as your a person and the ASC as a Dr. Take multiple opinions if the cure isn't found 😁

I am just asking you to get your access inspected by a local trusted mechanic and find the root cause, and then you can make the ASC people understand that and work on solving the issues.
Hopefully the ASC change will do the trick. Even I'll be going for the 1st service in about 15 days😁, will keep posted about my experience.

The process is explained in the manual precisely. Follow that and things will be done, I feel that's just an extra headache feature given with no amount of accuracy. Oil level indicator would have been much more appropriate.
