An update regarding the oil level and Tyre pressure, I measured today and it was between minimum and maximum, and regarding the tyre pressure so I took it to the tyre guy and everything was proper according to him, as yesterday when I checked at the petrol station it had dropped down to 17 on the rear tyre and 15 in the front within 4 days. I filled air yesterday and went to check today at the tyre guy he checked for 15 min and said it's fine nothing to worry as the pressure was the same I filled yesterday.
I'll do a follow-up check after 3 days to see if the petrol station indicators are faulty or there is problem with the tyres.

A strange thing I am experiencing from last couple of days where ever I go people stop and ask about the scooter 😍 and it's been turning heads since day 1. In last 2-3 days at least 8-9 people at the signal were curious and few people where ever I park for some shopping 😎 feels soo good.

Booked the Suzuki Access 125 Disc (Red) from Ace Kudale Suzuki Pune. So far the customer service has been horrible. I am surprised that i am still buying it. I was also trying to get it financed from ICICI Bank. Well all my previous loans were from HDFC but as my wife was taking this loan and it was her first loan decided with ICICI as their interest Rates were lower. The loan guy Prasanth was horrible. He quoted 3 different Interest Rates and Downpayments on 3 different dates. The Loan has been approved from ICICI (So He says) one week ago but ICICI is yet to Issue the cheque which is not acceptable and believable.
Well i am a little taken aback as even before owning the product the experience has been really bad.
Please visit Ace Kudale Suzuki Pune at your own discretion. They will not even ask you to sit. They act like we are a pain in their ass (Sorry for the bad language).

Friends, I want a quick help.
I want to renew my access's insurance which is expiring tomorrow.
Running insurance company is Oriental and they are saying you will charge rs 1856 for the second year.
I am seeing comparison on policybazar website and various companies are quoting rs 1129-1400 max.
Please help me fast, I want to renew it today only.
        Thank you in Advance.

Some weird issue has pooped up I remember the service guy asking me "does your bike shuts off randomly?" I was not facing such issue at the time of service, but yesterday I don't know why but my access was shutting down at every signal when I stopped and then tried to accelerate 😠 I feel that it must be because of heating which also have become more pronounced (feels like I am from the KTM family &#128514and one more noticeable difference was the mileage has dropped considerably. Previously it use to give me around 50 now it has come down to around 35😠 yet to calculate tank full to tank full.
I still remember when the scooter was new the 1st bar disappeared at around 68km, and the 2nd bar at around 126, now it's just been 80km and both bar have vanished 😒.
I somehow feel the real culprit could be the oil change as that's the only thing I have changed after the service, I used shell 10w40 semi senthetic and most probably the recommended grade was 10w30. Please do let me know what grade you guys are using and did such thing happen with you guys.

I was extremely happy with my Access 125, rode almost a 1000 km till the first service and it was really as smooth as butter. Ever since the first service, I have found the engine to be rougher, more vibrations and even the pickup is sluggish. I went back to the service center, he said something about clutch overhaul and charged me 150 bucks, but even that has not helped the issue. I checked the oil, level seemed ok, but the oil felt very thing. Is that normal? Should I try changing the oil to a shell or better one?

I really feel like banging my head against the wall for taking a beautiful running vehicle and paying incompetent guys money to mess it up

was wondering whether can we fix the headlight switch to the newer 2017 models ?

i recently purchased the BS4 variant which comes with AHO feature
and i want the headlight to be off during day times , as i find it irritating and the reflector gets super hot

              is this possible ?
              any pointers would be helpful

by the way the brakes on this vehicle are phenomenal
we own a Suzuki swish 125 too in my family and riding both of them back to back , i feel swish brakes are pathetic

kudos to Suzuki for introducing the disc variant

Was the right oil grade used? And also get the carburetor tuned. The clutch overhaul is an excuse to rob 150rs from you. The carburetor tuning might have been messed with not set correctly. Take it to a trustworthy mechanic and get it done. And also try Motul Scooter 10w30 oil if possible. It's the best in the business and might help you restore your access to its previous glory.

280RS on amazon. Might be cheaper in the local market. I was quoted 240rs in ramkoti, Hyderabad.

                        Yeah.
There are no scooter specific synthetic oils in the market. I think.

Its usually the suzuki 10w30 oil. Thats the recommended grade for swish and access.

I test rode both Honda activa 125 and Suzuki access 125 BS4 models. I am now in a confusion. If it's just performance I'd go with access 125. My confusion is not with just that. I already have a Suzuki gixxer and the resale value for it in the market is very low - less than 40 thousand rupees and the takers on classifieds are also very demanding and less in number - private buyers who are not brokers.

However, if you consider activa - both 4G and 125, they get sold for the same 40 thousand rupees, irrespective of whether it's just 4 months or 4 years you've owned. There is also so much demand on classifieds. The reasons people attribute this demand to are their metal bodies and brand value.

I am aware Suzuki is as reliable as Honda even in scooter segment but the depreciating value makes me wait and think twice, irrespective of exchanging my bike or not. There is also a problem with Honda dealerships here in my city - they are giving me standard 30 -45 days waiting period in all parts of the city. The spares are too costly in comparison and dealers are lethargic. They're probably like ferrari dealers of the scooter world - until you wave money at them and dress like rich fellas they don't even receive you properly in the showroom.

On one hand I am inclined towards the solid product, activa 125. It's better built than access and also has better resale value after years of ownership. It looks like something that as a family we can keep for 10 -15 years. However not as solid as the 1st generation ones. On the other hand, keeping resale value aside, access seems like a long lasting product with good engine but the fibre body does not give that sense of solid feel and age-proof ownership experience.

In Chennai - activa 125 BS4 retails at 78 thousand rupees with all accessories and benefits. Vespa LX 125 is 83 thousand rupees on road and it's not so far away :P

Access 125 BS4 retails at 72 thousand rupees with all accessories and benefits.

Previously I had plans to exchange my Gixxer and get any of the two scooters; but now I feel like I should buy without exchanging my Gixxer - use it as much and after years sell it for whatever amount it goes. I had brought that vehicle for recreation and I no longer go on long rides. That makes me feel I'll have it in my home and do storage maintenance once I get a scooter for city commutes. Also, everyone else in my family is intending to use the scooter so for them metal body and the bulky feeling due to added weight give a sense of security. Heart says access and mind says activa. I'm impatient to wait - to find a good buyer for my bike and to wait 1 month for activa 125.

What do I do? what helps in the long run?

Previously I had owned an RTR 180 ABS - used it to heart's content and sold it for a good value in the market - reasons being metal tank and flat rear seat.

Kindly help me with your opinions.

The best scooter I had ridden in my search so far is Yamaha Alpha - perfectly under your control always and good for short and tall people alike - throttle response is amazing. But you don't want to pay 71 thousand for the BS4 model because everything is plastic in it and sometimes you think it's engine is plastic too :P
