Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
A little late to reply, but Pulsars don't have secondary air injection. That tech is limited to Honda derived engines today.Originally posted by RohIIT View Post

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
Thanks for the reply. I completed the journey but a new issue arised with the engine in the first 100 kms, the engine started producing ticking sound which came with same timing as that of the pistons going up and down. I am not able to understand what is the reason of this sound. I am afraid if a permanent damage is done to the engine. Please helpOriginally posted by Pinaki View PostOil level is good , no problem .

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
I cannot be sure without hearing it , but my guess is it's valve noise . It comes from loose tappets when engine gets hot , there is no harm from a bit loose tappets other than little performance loss . Get the valve tappets adjusted from authorised service , but this has to be done on a cold engine - so you shall have to leave the bike there for few hours after you ride there . Ensure that they do a good job using proper feeler gauge tool .Originally posted by thehotheadedbeast View PostThanks for the reply. Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
Hi Xhbpians,
Can the sizes of the tubeless tyres fit the current rim for the both rear and front of my P150 UG 4.5.
Today I went to the MRF tyre shop, the shop man told me that the current tyres are not tubeless and they cannot retrofit the tubeless tyres in the current rim. I was browsing through the internet for tubeless tyres. I was surprised to see the guy giving a comment, that it fitted it. Has any one fitted the same for P150?Front 2.75 - 17 Rear 100 / 90 - 17

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
Thanks a lot for your help. I visited today and they said that the timing chain needs to be replaced and told me to visit early morning tommorow. I will ask them to check and adjust the valve tappets as well. Thank you for the information.Originally posted by Pinaki View PostI cannot be sure without hearing it , but my guess is it's valve noise . K&N BA-2201 for pulsar 150 UG-3
Hi Fellow Riders,
I wanted to know how good is K&N BA-2201 stock filter replacement for pulsar 150 (UG 3 2008 model)?
Wanted to know opinions of P150 users who have used this filter before i buy it.
They say it doesn't need a re-jetting but by any chance will this filter make air-fuel mixture on leaner side and cause engine heat up on longer drives?

Re: K&N BA-2201 for pulsar 150 UG-3
Never ever go for K&N.Pure wastage of money. You will get nothing out of it. Believe me. Moreover by putting it you are just making the mixture lean making your bikes engine suffer from incorrect mixture.Originally posted by neeljinwala View PostNo takers for this query?
Even though you upjet and put the filter, performance improvement may not be great. Your bike will not become better bike in any way....
You have alter valve ports, Customize CDI for better firing and timing and other stuff to extract that additional power and the headache of less reliability will always stay..
FE drastic drop, engine heating, more clutch wear, sometimes misfirng etc problems may surface....
Changing the block piston and other things are totally different.... (Im not sure how they will perform)
You are missing a point here.. Stock P150 performs exceptionally well if you maintain it well.... It can still give a tough competition to similar 150s (barring R15 cbr etc types..)...

Re: Front Disc Brake Lever
Get the brake oil checked and replaced if required and/ or get the brakes bled.Originally posted by Saksham Verenkar View PostHello all
I have a pulsar 150(2003). The front brake (disc) lever used to be pulled only 25-30% earlier. But today evening when returning from work , when i pulled the lever to brake it pulled back almost 70-75% . Is this normal or I have to get some work done.Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!
Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city
