U can not use the starter more than 3times continuously. It requires some 10 to 15 seconds for starter to work again. Or u can turn off the ignition and ON again if u want to start immediately. Refer to the owner's manual. Its not a prob. Actually it prevents battery from draining by continuous cranks.

For cold engine 1.5k rpm is ok,no need to worry about it

        • No the engine was not OFF.I had taken the bike up to 40kmph after start but the tachometer didn't move above 1.5k.Then I switched off the bike and restarted and everything was fine again.Since then it has not happened again.

            • Air/Fuel screw tuning

Does anyone know how many turns the fuel screw should be tuned from fully closed position(for better performance as wel as fuel efficiency). I did screwed my fuel screw. Now i am afraid that it wil affect my mileage:-( Wil it improve the performance?

              • hey fellow P150ians ... my friend wants to get his P150s rear tyre changed ...
i suggessted him MRF zapper for his bike with the stock size .
but he wants a fatter rear tyre ... so i adviced he can bump 10 frm the stock size... he is ok with it now.
i want to know which is the best tyre for P150 and cost and size of the same tyre ??

should he go for a fatter one [i know there will be a performance drop with mileage issue and handling will go fr a toss] ?

Even i want to know the same thing. How about "michelin" tyres?? but as far as i know they are not coming in p150 specification. Can we get 110/90 17 for rear but what to do about the front 2.75. The dealer of michelin was telling that michelin are lunching with new specification on august 1 but the guy hasnt contact me yet. anybody got any info about this.

                  Cheers

see for 150 , i hav changed my rear rubber with MRF Zapper Q with 100/90*18, if it is in 18 of rim.
The max u should for in with 110/80*17, of medium compound rubber. MRF has good grip enough for city & touring. IRC is gd but is too slick for wet conditions. MRF's willl range arnd 1600/- to 2000/- max, i guess.

                        • thats perfectly what you should keep..
please don't keep higher pressure on road side mechanic's advice.. as this gives you bad grip on road and might cause a fall..
A little higher might do if no ghats and long straight highway runs..
for rains and gravel, keep couple of ps less..

                          have a safe ride..

thanks 4r ur reply but the mechanic told like 40 should be the pressure or tyre life time will reduce so i was little worried..

It is not the tyre lifetime that'll reduce at 40 PSi but the rider lifetime is defanitely at risk. End of the day, if you run higher pressure, your tyre's center part will wear out but the sides still have good grove. What will you do with that when the center is worn?

Just set the pressure indicated by the company - it will be less than 35 PSi.

ya, it may depend from bike to bike , but I hav received gd feedback from my bike 's rubber. There are many times I have tried my bike to slid but everytime I have found it very hard to do the same, may be I keep air pressure low to use the full width of the rubber.

the air pressure in frnt may be arnd 23 & for rear 33 enough for solo. When riding pillion get that to 34 but not 35. 35 is too much & while touring in rainy season riding solo leave the air pressure to 33, u will get amazng grip.
