    And thats what matters.
Well said about the HH and you make me take back my support to call HH a stickering company, but yes they are also this

The root of this debated discussion about R15 Vs CBR is that I have to drop one of these "in peace" so that I will buy one and be happy after. What adds to my dilema is that the extra 50k for CBR is no burden to me and that the ugly rear of R15 is no bother to me but yes its indeed ugly. Also, there are rumours that today's R15, 100% localised, is inferior in quality/performance to the ones imported before. But I have no knowledge if this rumour is authentic and this is another factor for my confusion.
I hope the CBR positively turns up at the showroom next week and will put an end to my dilema.

NINJA, now thats a sports bike.

Sir, i was just speaking the mind of the masses here.
R15 a sports bike of 150CC "class" in INDIA but if you're talking about 250 CC "class" its not the CBR, but its THE NINJA.

Launch CBR 250 and R15 in a naked form without the full fairing, rest everything same, and see how many people then will book or purchase both the bikes in INDIA !
Then according to the masses they wont be sports bike

Wrap 1000 designs around same engine and you can sell it for more than 10 decades !
All they have to do is to make it look good
Remember when they designed stunner around shine's engine !
HERO will now take the 250 CBR engine from HONDA and will produce atleast 4 bikes with it !

People loved that bike and still do, and it served everyones purpose. We wanted more from it, didn't get it but it served its purpose in the market when it came. Big time. Infact, it still rivals its counterparts, thats when its called legendary for no reason. The CBRs got lot of work to do.

          +1
Well said. Such a hue and cry over HH's sticker jobs. The company had done considerable stuff for the power-hungry bike industry. They started it with the classic CBZ and continued it with the ZMA.
As far as the CBR goes, Motorcycle USA has said that even the most experienced riders can have a lot of fun with the 250R. Let's not trash it just as yet. Let's wait till the bike is here.. If it's not worth the buzz, its trashing is inevitable . But if it turns out to please most of us, i think it's a win-win!

This bike is specially designed for India & Thailand keeping the budget in mind first.

Those who want a clue about what the 250cc race replica is. Take a look at Moriwaki MD250 which costs appx.$11,000.
The reason why US and Europe reviews suggest that this bike is a "Sheep under Wolf's skin" is that they are usually comparing it with NINJA or other 250CC bikes they have but we can not use the same Yard stick.

My personal opinion is that the best 250 CC or less bikes in INDIA available as of now are NINJA and R15. Now NINJA is out of bounds for most of us because of the price factor so the bike left is R15 therefore the comparison.

But we should not be making any decision based on review done is US/UK because the expectation and comparision is different plus NINJA and CBR are priced in almost the same price bracket which is not the case here. We should be happy enough that HONDA has provided us a good bike at this price and should wait for the Indian review and ride reports to come in and then only should be deciding that it is good enough or not.

Agreed that CBR 250R will appeal lot more masses than Ninja 250 did especially due huge difference in price tag.

But there's one thing could be true. This bike won't satisfy the power hunger of experience riders who always day dream of crouched rockets. And after a while I'll get bored of it like it happened with my Pulsar.

The CBRs 25hp is definitely not day and night ahead of P220's 21hp that most people ride.

Really missing those days RD350 which would put 45hp at the backwheel. Hope some day indian (or rather Japanese) manufacturers will build such bike which will be affordable, powerful and handling like sharp knife.

As of now I'm waiting for Ninja 650R, for sure its out of my budget. But I'll now save my 1.6 Lacs which I had kept for CBR 250R.

You Like Ninja?? fine.. You like R15.. very good indeed.. You think CBR250r is nothing compared to those.. OK thats your opinion..
You think CBR is not a track tool.. Whatever i am not gonna be racing along side rossi anytime soon and again your opinion..

But What (wanted to insert some words here) are you doing in a Discussion About CBR 250 R with all your cribbings on a bike that
1- No one has test driven here yet(except one maybe who actually liked it).
2- You have not even seen in flesh.

This is directed to all you people who are trying to hijack a perfectly good thread with your lame cribbing and hypocritical talks abt CBR250r and comparing it to r15 or ninja.

If you really need to do this then start a so called 'VS' thread and keep posting until somone with no other useful job to do gets in and replies to your pathetic posts.

There are people here who have other work and life who visit this forum due to its good reputation to get some information on a bike they have booked.

If you feel offended by this then most propably you deserve it so i advise you to take this on a positve note and post some useful posts rather than some more lame comparisons with R15 and ninja..atleast until the bike is test driven...

I will not apologise for the above post since i am sure many would agree that it reflects their thoughts as well..

I agree dude. I still dont understand that why do morons still compare CBR with other bikes when this is SPECIFICALLY a CBR Update/Info Thread and not a Comparison Thread.

To all those who dont like CBR, would you mind shutting up?
Its your opinion that you dont like it and who the hell asked you to tell us that it looks ugly, less power, shitty frame and all that?

You might be rich to buy a Ninja or something like that but most of us arent, Spending 1.7 Lacs on a bike is like buying a Honda Accord.

I hope my words are clear and if I see anymore damn comparisons I will shoot a PM to the MODs and will report this! Please be in peace and let the bike hit the roads and then we will talk!

No Offence but seriously its like two 5 year olds fighting over RC Toy cars that mine is better, no mine is better.

I feel like Peter Parker when I drive my Hunk in the city but I become Spiderman when I am on my CBR swinging from one lane to the other on expressways.

Im sorry but many of us here might not have booked the CBR due to some reasons posted here. Most of us here have booked it because we felt its an affordable 250 compared to the Ninja and is a bike you can easily use for daily commuting. For me even if i had bought the Ninja i would barely use it on the tracks where its real power can be extracted hence why not the CBR for everyday commuting at almost little over half the price.
