So first I need to rewind the coil & get the APE RR to get maximum battery charging. I had gone through this thread & found One need to disconnect lightning wire from Stator coil....Is it necessary to do the same once i rewind the coil with 19G copper?

First I'll rewind the coil then I'll check performance with stock RR...Is it right to do so?

Can you pls. give some info. from where I can buy OEM APE RR unit in Ahmedabad?

Yes Its the same which is used in piaggion APE 3 wheeler rickshaw.

Hi shreeni, today i,ve opned my hero honda passion plus's coil cover and shocked to found than its only single pole.....AFAIK there should be 8 poles so i go to my mechanic and told me passion plus is kick start bike hence only single coil is for charging and. AC lights.

My quesrion is...As new passion pro is comes with 8 pole coil...can i go and replace my stock single pole coil with that 8 pole one?

Hi shreeni,

I was the trick that mechanic had used while opening the stator coil cover. I m not able to do so.

But i can share info. As my bile's coil is having 4 poles with copper winding and 1 pole is having yellow coating on it. There are total 6 wires coming out from stator assembly.

My mechanic told me its nt possible to get more than 40W from this bike' coil as magnet will produce energy till its capacity whether you rewind with 19G wire with maximum layers....out put is depend on magnet.......it it true?

It it possible to replace my coil with HH passion pro's coil as it comes with self start?

I deadly want to install HID at any cost....other friedns pls give ur inputs also.....

hi,
just unground the stator coil connect to ape rr and battery,
do not go for coil rewinding, what your mechanic told is 100% right,
for hid setup 35watts no need for coil winding.

So u mean to say, Whatever the coil type ( 4 poles or 8 poles) it is i just want to unground the stator coil and replace stock RR with APE RR using same output cables right? Will u pls. Give more info?

Should i have to change AC-DC to full DC?

M having AC CDI unit my bike is HH Passion+
Harness coming from stator assembly consists of 6 wires. ( black+red and blue+while both cable directly goes to CDI unit. Other ,whilte & green wires goes to rectifier. Yellow i dont know and green+red also unidentiifed.)

if you have an ac cdi leave that part as it is,there should be three wires going to stock rr, you have to find out that tracing from rr back to stator coil, draw in paint brush and send me,
of the three wires one wire will be grounded to stator body, find out unground or float it out.
first you have to tell me how your headlight coil is taken out is it a tapping from centre of the coil, or a separate coil?
i did coil winding but the power output was low than stock stator,so bought a new coil unground and fixed ape rr,changed 12v,7ah ups battery,now 8month passed going smooth with hid setup.
i suggest you do the same as what i did, then change the console bulbs(neutral,highbeam,speedometer,fuel gauge,parker, danger light and brake light) to led.

36 watt saved.
if you wind the coil then,
you may get the following as a compliment,
loss of top speed in load,
change in engine rhythm,
engine switches of at slow speed,
burning the wires,blowing the stock bulb if you use any other rr other than ape rr,
but the bottleneck of ape rr ,without battery,ape rr malfunctions, so battery is a must.

if you can do it by yourself its fine.
i have done it for a few cbz,yahaha vehicles,the concept is same.
but getting or preparing a wiring diagram of your vehicle is very important.
all the best.

I have observed that YELLOW wire to the rectifier is taken from middle of the coil winding. & pickup coil is already having GREEN with GN.

Pls. go through it & suggest what changes are required.....

Honda dio

hey guys
i own a dio
with bixenon projector installed
and even a STEBEL nautilius horn
and upgraded the
battery to 9lb one
and the rectifier is changed to some other bikes,

once the mechanic opened my coil
as the bike wasnt getting charged
so he said the coil is damaged n he rewinded
by removing the damaged part of the wire n soldered new wire n spinned few wire

and from then the bike is running ultra fine
and no charging problem till date
.
but after reading about coil rewinding and all over here
i doubt whether my coil is rewinded or not
is it rewinded or not guys ?

and im very happy with the electrical setup and charging
but do i still need to change to APE RR UNit
and ground the wires ?

hi,
can you see one yellow wire,one white wire and one black wire and one red wire in stock rr? trace the white wire,to the stator coil,in that coil find the other end after the tapping(yellow wire),that end of coil will be grounded to the stator body. unground/float it, take a black colour wire preferably teflon wire and connect to the floating stator wire and bring it out the stator cover. now you have a floating ground wire from stator coil. disconnect the stock rr, cut the yellow wire coming out of stator near the stator end.connect ape rr's input to white and black of stator ,connect output of ape rr to battery and ground the ape's black wire. now connect the yellow wire going to headlight switch to the bike's key switch,like if you switch on the key,then headlight will get power.now you can connect your hid kit.

I own a gs150r.I want to install a hid with projector....

1)what all mods i have to do on my gs for the pro+hid installation.

2)cost with break up....for the pro+hid and any other if any..like aoe rr. leds for indicators etc

3)what is the quality of the produts you are offering..generally in this forum mos people advice to be away from chineese..
