    yeah, a fellow XBhpian friend of mine was also thinking about doing a DIY on alloy LED's, I suggested him to use slip rings just as the ones on an alternator... has been a busy since then. Will inform you once he's done (if at all).
    since he's planning on LED's, it'll run from battery.

      • how to convert yamaha gladiator to full dc..
        i had an option that i can reroute the wire of headlight which is coming from coil by placing a rr in it.
        then this how much i take from battery i will also give to it...
        there are 5or6 wires which r coming from coil

          if you're an expert in electronics then think about placing RR in parallel else go for APE RR & full DC.

              open the stator, take a high res pic & post it here, we'll help you spot the wires. No idea about Varanasi, sorry. Try the Piaggio service centre.

                • i dont understand y my cdi of scooty pep+ was blown when i replaced my stock rr to the heavy rr.first it was running normal when battery was there but when i taken out the battery it was blow after 2min as the engine started i asked to my mechanic he said me because of heavy charge but does cdi take any charge of battery i had seen it is directly connected to the coil wires not the battery or charger.. i dunno understand its ac cdi or dc cdi..if its dc then y the wires r coming from the coil..

                    thats an AC CDI that you're talking about,, it blew off cuz the current to the CDI goes via RR so a different RR gave different supply current to CDI.

                    • Hai i'm new to here.2weeks back i,ve installed 35w H/L HID(Attached Pic) on my Honda Twister.But it's eating all the charges, when the HID is ON if i press the Horn the sound is too low just like in TVS50
                      So reading this thread i've planed to rewind the coil and make it full DC by using Ape RR.but my doubt is will my bike support these all, bcz it's just 110cc
                      If rewinding is possible my plan is fix the R15 full fairing and 2 projectors with HID & Reflectors with Halogen for pass light on the setup

                          another issue

                          i had converted the ug3 pulsar to ug4 all wiring and rr means all electronics like cdi, bcu, coil, magnet, relay switches, headlight switches. but the headlight is not functioning properly and battery is also not charging, there r many socket in it which r not connected because there is nothing to connect i think because of that its incomplete like circuit is not complete. when i switch on the pilot lamps it switches on but when i switch to headlight all the lights goes off an glows after about ten sec but one ug4 pulsar i had seen its not like this they don't switch off for ten sec
                          i don't know the reason for this could you please tell i think its because of some sockets which r not complete the one socket beneath the seat is for what i don't know...

                            AC CDI has a built in RR and its nothing to do with the external RR. It will fire the engine even if u unplug the RR & batt. For TCI either RR or battery is required for starting.

                            Which RR u've used and how did u connected it? Ignition coil is directly going to the CDI unit and it wont sip from the battery.
                            Out of specs comps can harm the circuits, it can be a wiring issue too. CDI can fail any time without any reason as its just another electronic device.

                              hello sajjt, m still confused with some things even after our last consultation.. can u please exactly tell me how many amps is 140 watts?? i've been using hid 35 watt chinese made since a few days and the little 4 amp battery seems to be supporting it in higher rpms but in lower rpms (bumper to bumper traffic) the battery lasts for about 40-45 mins... after i disconnect the ac line for headlight, will the 35 watt power going to power the ac headlight go to the battery charging?? because as the ac lighting line remain idle, the power might get transferred to the battery charging(just my thought)... pls clarify.. thanks in advance..
