    Hello fellow xbhpians,

Looking for a new set of white headlight bulbs for my Yamaha R15. The setup is two 35W bulbs, and two 5W auxiliary bulbs(small parking light kinda). Thing is, most motorcycles have a 55W single bulb setup.

Philips white-streak is a series that has bulbs in which the emitted light is white in color. They are a perfect direct fit for cars and motorcycles. Only problem is that they all seem to be 55W and above.

Is anybody aware of Osram, or Philips ones that are 35W with white color emission? Any other brand with also do.

    Thanks.

I have a mini h1 super model from vst, which has decent bulbs, I don't trust the ballasts though and will be ordering a pair of hylux ballasts. There is a lot of crap projectors on the market, people here get hung up on gimmicks like angel eyes, do your research properly and save yourself future hassle and disappointment.

So where can I get that? I want to buy decent pair of projectors with HID (H4/d2s) at ~ $100. What are my options?

Thank you. The philips pack landed me on the Philips website and finally made a selection for a 35W bluevision bulb. Only thing is that I'm unsure of the type of bulb on R15.

                Thanks again.

Hi everyone. I own a Suzuki Gixxer. It is provided with a 35/35 headlamp. It is okay for city riding but in highways it is far from sufficient.
Since it has a tiny 3A battery, I was wondering what could be done for a better lighting.

Bro in 35w u can't do much to improve light. But I have installed 55w in my HUNK and it illuminates like car though mine is not dc. But gixxer is dc I guess and u can fit 55w with relay. In 55w we have wide range of options

I got my gixxer on thursday and I am going to change the headlamp to philips xtreme vision 55/60w. will do it tomorrow. Also I will look into the possibilities of installing a bigger battery.

Yes, I just read your post in the Gixxer thread. Congo for the new bike:thumbup:
As far as I know, changing the battery won't be easy because the housing itself is so small that it'll accomodate only a 3A battery.

Now if you're changing the bulb, do update us afterwards.

What good does a relay do? Pardon me because I don't know much about the electricals. Please enlighten.

A relay takes the electrical load off the oe wiring. If you connect an h/l thru relay the oe switch activates the relay which supplies current to the bulb. So the relay is also directly connected to the battery ( power source ) as well.
