Use of relay should be able to increase light output since stock wires can induce resistance and lower current to bulb. The problem is that I have no idea about relays and from where I should start. Which bulb are you using and what's the price?

Re: Let there be Light : Bike Lighting, HID etc
Relays won't increase current output as the existing wires are enough to handle current much more than that. P220 has identical wires and they run 55W stock without problem. Relays are useful for reactance based bulbs such as HID because they keep joints and switches safe.Originally posted by John P Daniel View PostUse of relay should be able to increase light output since stock wires can induce resistance and lower current to bulb. I'm using philips extreme which costs around 70-100 rs.

Re: Let there be Light : Bike Lighting, HID etc
But the output is from the bcu which regulates the current flow to the bulb, which could be at around 35-45w for p180. A relay connects the bulb directly to the battery and can accommodate thicker wires allowing better current flow.. Where did you get that bulb?Originally posted by lockhrt999 View PostRelays won't increase current output as the existing wires are enough to handle current much more than that. I don't think BCU has ballast to control the current flow but yeah skipping BCU is a good idea.Originally posted by John P Daniel View PostBut the output is from the bcu which regulates the current flow to the bulb, which could be at around 35-45w for p180. I bought that bulb at a car accessories shop.
Before trying that, I would suggest you to focus reflector towards ground more. It'll increase intensity of the light as the spread will be lower.

Ok mateOriginally posted by bala242 View PostLet see friend,I will get first week of January
Thing i noticed with this led headlights is that in our reflectors the light scatters everywhere its bright but not focused like hids or halogen blubs.. if you closely look at a led torch reflector you'll get an idea of difference i am telling about..
Anyways i hope it works for you mate

Seems good.Originally posted by bala242 View Post
How does the High beam and low beam work?
and is it high beam + low beam = 30W or each of the the beam is 30W?
Can't order these now as they will take a long to arrive here. I have to have setup ready before 15th Jan.
Edit: can you post a couple of snaps of light throw with high beam and low beam? What bike you got?

No relay . Just plug and play...no battery issues and I don't have kickOriginally posted by babaji View PostCost? Also was a relay required? I have heard that it is recommended.
the out put is much better than stock and it illuminates very well.

I went back a few pages and found you also have mounted a pair of LED spotlights on crashguard. That's a lot of light for one bikeOriginally posted by bala242 View PostKarizma r 2014

. Such LED spotlights 5W or 10W are they available here in India? And what's the cost?
