    1. The cutaway is not parallel to the ground. It is a bit inclined towards right (left side is up and right side is down).
    2. There is something wrong with the ballast. The light intensity has reduced over the period of time (1-2 months old). Can i put 55w ballast in it? Or, can i switch from this whole setup and put led lights inside the projector?

Reply asap, as light intensity is quite poor for night rides.

    1) if possible, get a hot air gun, open the projector and rotate it to correct beam position.
    2) putting LEDs inside a hid projector is a bit difficult as projectors don't have sockets. So some mod might be needed.
Slim ballasts are available in the market; better would be to contact a pro relating to lights who can offer a good ballast at lower range.

Questions what is the kelvin scale of light of your hid?

can I upgrade my light by directly changing the halogen bulb or
i need to install some electrical kit
also how much it will cost to me .
      Hi MBG,
Honda CB trigger has an ac setup which makes it difficult to produce optimum illusion at lower rpms.

There are two solutions for this-
Get the setup converted to DC by coil rewinding if it is possible on your stator coil.
Then you can upgrade to 55/60 watt Phillips halogen bulbs or go for a projector setup.

If you just upgrade 35wtt to 55wt bulbs the difference will not be noticeable as the power supplied to the bulb will remain the same regardless of the bulb you use.

6k Kelvin produces a bluish output which makes it very difficult to see through in a dark night or in fog.
If possible try to source a 4000-4900 kelvin hids. They make a world of difference in terms of illumination.

It does have a bluish tint. Night visibility was great until my ballast went kaput, but yeah, during rain, visibility is comparatively hampered. No comments about fog for now, haven't witnessed any fog.
But one thing is for sure, light is far far better than stock halogens.

The aes projectors are one the best after morimoto and koito projectors from what iv seen.
AFAIK pulsar had ac coil setup, did you do coil rewinding?
Try sourcing a new ballast and that should solve the problem of low illumination.

Ug4 pulsars are DC, so it was a simple procedure.

                        Hey guys,
Ive an TVS Apache RTR Fi(Sept '08 model). My charging circuit isn't putting out the right voltage(it should be 14V @ 4k RPM, it's showing 12.6 something). As a result, my battery is not getting charged properly and nowadays remains grossly undercharged. Everything is stock as of now.
Ill soon take it to a mechanic and find what/s wrong. At the same time, I'm planning to upgrade my electricals so that it supports more wattage. I just wanted to know if anyone here has done the rewinding, installation of a higher capacity RR unit and then installed a HID, all this on an Fi? I know for sure that many people do the rewinding and upgrade their electrical sytem, but will all that be as straight forward as it is on a carb bike? MOre importantly, is it advisable to tinker with the electricals on a Fi bike?

                        Any inputs welcome.

                          Hi Rahul,

Can you kindly share the pic of ur bike with the lights u have used. And also a pic of the light throw in the night. I could take some cues from there.

                          Thanks

Would having a projector setup affect bike's resale value? If yes, is it easy to swap it with stock setup and how much would it cost? I have a pulsar 180

Having a branded projector like morimoto or the likes will definitely up your resale value. Those would cost you about 10-15k. You would have to blacken the reflector though, for the beam throw to be effective.
And once the reflector is blackened, it definitely would not be viable for you to shift back to regular bulbs.
