@ saurabh : let alone everything else... so long as there is abundant clean water for tending to nature's calls & for a cold shower... everything else is tolerable.
Thanks for the heads up (on the planning etc. ;-) )
      Cheers...
P.s.: am really worried about the heat though. We all will be fried chicken & roasted pork inside our gear enroute :-/

I was thinking what will it be like if we get a big tent camped on the beach? campfire and songs and experiences and stories in the night. What say?
If there are many people then maybe we can build multiple tents.

          ha ha ha.
we r gonna be @ velneshwar in konkan, my friend.
konkan is notorious for its hot & humid weather.
if u were imagining something like a bonfire + tents, i think we should imagine more about air conditioners instead ;-) :-)

I know it will suck during noon, but as the sun will go down, gradually the temperature also may fall.

its important that we begin the journey both ways early - its about 6 hrs of trip one way... if we hit the roads late we will be baked sausages for most part of the trip :P

So, 5-6 am will be great i guess.
And yes, i dont have any riding gears, except my helmet, gloves, and jacket (though i wont be wearing the jacket due to super hot climate)
Just thinking of wearing a T shirt and denims, gloves and helmet, and ankle high shoes.

Riding gear is an important parameter for the ride & mainly for yourself..!!
Btw.. Sweat is always preferable than the Blood..!!

*Sigh* Another one who thinks safety is an option. Consider ANY safety gear as a part of the motorcycle itself, like the handle or wheels. You just.don't.go.without.them.

@viks - Please read first page of this thread and rules mentioned there are mandatory for all of us coming for any rides outside city limits. ATGATT needs to be followed even if the conditions are super hot.

@Whymail: if you are confirmed for this ride please copy paste the ride plan with ur name in the confirmed list. Saurabh needs confirmed head count so that accomodation can be done.

Regarding time - It is mentioned in the ride plan. We start the ride sharp 6:30 from McD Panvel. Everyone please assemble there by 6:15.

I agree, but in this heat, wearing the jacket will make me very uncomfortable, and cause dizziness, which may lead to under performance of mind and may lead to loss of focus, but getting fresh air may improve my focus on the riding comparatively. It will be just like wearing a helmet with a black tinted glass on a dark highway without street lights, though you are adhering to safety measures but ignoring the fact that the probability of a mishap is more if your wearing such a helmet compared to not wearing it. Its just an example (Dont tell me that you can lift the glass up)
No offence meant bro, its just my way of thinking and im a rookie compared to you all gurus out here, seriously.

Just 1 question to you buddy, did i say i think safety is an 'option'
                              Please re-consider.
Safety does not mean the safety gears, what if a person is all loaded with the safety gears and rides like a snake and very recklessly.
Its just that i dont HAVE anything except a Vega helmet, riding gloves, high ankled shoes, and a jacket. Thats all.
So please its a request, dont count me as so called 'another one'
