    I hope Duke owners are having an eye on this thread because RC are coming up with a Big blown kit for Duke 200 as well. Some time back, they released the teasers of the same and you can see few members showing interest in those Big blown kits, signature head works etc

    In his each and every post, you can see few words such as bullet proof reliability, 10-12% gain over stock etc obviously these words are used to trap the noobs (cash cows ) . how can he claim that there is a gain over the stock without a proper dyno run?

    Sometimes we demand a bill for a purchase done for Rs 50 and here no one bothered to ask the bill even after spending almost half a lac .. just deposit the cash and then mail him telling that cash has been deposited.. I guess even this is also a part of business strategy which helps him in keeping away from law and order..

      Not just KTM 200...he had done some mods on CBR 250 also...just head flow "improvements". This again is a massive scam since there is nothing to support the tall claims..I think we may see some of the Tooned CBR 250 owners coming out in the open with what had happened to their ride....regarding his bills or rather the lack of it, I have nothing to say . Time will catch up....

        I had recently seen a post from a guy in the RC page i think, in facebook, he had paid the full amount for FFE and some other goodies and hadn't got the order in over a year..!!! It was beyond my imagination how he waited for so long.

          The strange fact is that people think it is worth it, or having paid have no other option. People praised him too much and made him look like god's answer to engine "Tooning".No one cross checked on promised performance , or a dyno proof ,...or the fact that the Designer and Manufacturer Knows Better than the "Tooner" to stop at a certain level . He was made out to be the Magician who can say "Toon" and un lock hidden performance,which even the manufacturer didn't know of...
          Only now it is known that it was BLACK MAGIC all along...a Whammy and a HEX on the engine.

            If I remember correctly, he had charged a whopping 13k for the exhaust alone ..

              Very rightly said PSR Sir ... If you see the comments in the below pic, people have such blind faith in his words. So many innocent/stupid guys who have a D200 and cant go for the 390 are hoping that this RC 230cc duke will be faster than the 390 ...

                From a Noobs point of view who are not hot roders but just want something more out of their bike, a simple maths:

                * Onroad price of a KTM Duke 200: roughly 1.57 lkhs
                * Tooner's price for the Big Blown kit "and other goodies" : 40 - 50k
                * Expected BHP over stock: +/-5 bhp on a 25 bhp motor. Knowing his work i am giving 2 bhp.
                * Warranty: Phone switched off the moment the parts a are sold,
                * Reliability: 0
                * Expected engine seizure: under 3000 - 5000 kms,
                * Who's fault: YOURS!!
                * Look on your face: Priceless!! (for the other riders and the SVC for getting to make money out of your seized engine)

                Total cost (Approx): 2.07 lkhs (Plus 15-30k for an engine rebuild after everything goes Kaboom!!)

                * Onroad Price of KTM Duke 390: roughly 2.07 lkhs
                * Warranty: 2 years or 30k kms if i remember correctly,
                * Expected bhp: 43.5 bhp stock motor
                * Reliability: As reliable as any other bike. With NiCaSil bore chances of seizure reduce even further.
                * Expected engine seizure: based on Servicing & Maintenance over a lakh and half kms before engine overhaul. One may experience compression loss but no seizure.
                * Who's Fault: Company will consider all manufacturing defects and will replace anything found faulty for free, very prompt if the customer is dissatisfied and shoots a mail to Bajaj back office.
                * Look on your face: Happy and Priceless!! (But this time i meant it!! )

                Total cost (Approx)
                : 2.07 lkhs

                Well rest all smart people, use your logic and then do the math.... If bigger the bhp nos. is better, then you are getting over 18.5 bhp for the same amount spent! And that too with OEM company warranty!

                Cheers,

                    Im waiting for a post by a member owning a Race concepts tricked-out Duke 200 or 230 or 420 (a possible 390 bigbore :P) for either a positive or a negative review of his/her experience with the same. Fingers crossed.

                    P.S now i get the pun when its mentioned on their facebook page: 'tricked-out' or 'souped-up' xyz bike! Its either the owner is tricked or he's in a soup.

                      I think it is the next exploit of our " Tooner " I guess it will beat the Ninja 650 (Standing). but where is the rocket supposed to launch it ?or the grenade launcher ? I remember reading some time back the Signature of one of his minions that the "Tooner" was planning on fitting a grenade launcher and a laser guided missile to his bikes.....I am desperately trying to get it ....for posting in "The Hilarious Thread"...

                        He is working on the street hawk? Guess I should contact him.

                        From what I can gather from the experiences posted here and other forums (specifically a honda forum where the race engineer suggested that using two head gaskets in a city engine is a acceptable practice) the tuner is amaturish at best.

                        I admit, even I was drawn in by his tall claims and wanted to purchase "upgrades" for my bikes. Then I had a talk with argee and I should be thankful to him that I didnt go forward with it.

                            IIRC one of the green-horned moderators of this site also got his bike souped with the big bore kit. The so called "tooner" is also the official partner here.
